The light filtered through the blinds in fragments of the yellow and white colourings. I opened my eyes and glanced around the room, I had been moved during my sleep and placed on a chair with a coat over me. It was deafening quiet in the room apart from a few murmurs coming from outside. I slowly sat up and stretched my arms to look around the room I had been brought to. My eyes surveyed each and every corner of the room until they landed on the hospital bed.

Taeyong laid there with the most peaceful expression across his handsome features. It made my heart speed up to just see him there, let alone to be near to him. His lips were slightly parted as he was unconscious, his perfect eyes shut away from the world. Oh, I yearned to see the perfect shade of dark brown he held in his eyes, the earthly colour brought warmth to my heart.

They remained shut as someone walked into the room. I hadn't been paying attention enough to notice that it had been Mark, his eyes fixated on Taeyong as he came and sat beside him. "He hasn't woken up yet, but the doctors say that he should today." He mumbled. He hasn't woken up? Concern flushed over me like a fresh shower. What if he never wakes up?

I shake my head and push the thoughts away as I looked at him, trying to control my sadness for his sake. I truly missed him. I needed him back as soon as possible, I don't know what to do with myself if not to be with him. He made me feel safe during the bad times and when everything went to crap, he knew what to do.

I love him.

The slightest movement arose in his fingers before his eyes fluttered open. They opened and closed for a few moments before were instantly connected to mine. Mark shot up from his seat and rushed out of the room. "Y/n..?" He tried to stand out, wincing as he was still in pain. "Calm down." I stood up and went over to him, helping him to sit up. He nodded and stayed where I had put him.

The boys entered the room one by one and looked over at the two of us, smiles on their faces as they saw Taeyong finally conscious despite him having been asleep for the majority of the time after he had been shot. I looked at him as he talked to each of the members and had meaningless conversation between them all. I couldn't help but smile down at Taeyong, the fact that he was awake just bringing a simple smile to my features.

The doctor came in and looked over at Taeyong, smiling softly before he began to speak. "Mr Lee, you have suffered a shot injury to your side and had to go through surgery to get it removed, we are now happy to tell you that you can now be released from our care and go back to your home. But remember to rest for the next few days so that when you go back to work that it isn't too sudden and that you don't re-open your stitches or hurt yourself even worse."

He nodded and suddenly his hand found mine and were now interlocked in an unbreakable force. He didn't want to let go of me and I could tell as he was smiling more, holding my hand tighter by every passing second. Once the members had left to sign Taeyong out of the hospital, we were left alone together in the room. "It was my fault that you got shot." I mumbled and looked down at the floor.

He used his hand to lift my chin and make me look at him. A frown was laid across what was once a smile, "It wasn't you fault; it was mine. I shouldn't have entered so suddenly but I couldn't help but want to get to you quicker. You couldn't have done anything to stop it from happening. Seriously Y/n, it is not your fault and it never will be. I promise you." He smiled once again and looked at me.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled back at him.

The nurse came into the room with a wheelchair, gesturing Taeyong to get in it. He staggered slightly when he first attempted to get out of the bed, I had to aid him to actually get in it as he was still quite weak from the bullet shot. I placed a blanket over his legs as he had been changed into his previous clothes, yet he was shivering. I went behind him and pushed the wheelchair out of the hospital room.

The members had been waiting for us outside as I gently pushed him down the ramp outside the hospital. Chenle opened the door to a minibus that they must have rented to get Taeyong home and out came a ramp. I guided the wheelchair up the ramp and into the vehicle as I began to do the straps on the floor so that he would stay still whilst it would be moving. Everyone came through the door at the front after I closed the back door and put the ramp in.

I took my seat beside Taeyong and held his hand as the minibus started and began to drive out of the hospital parking lot. I knew that he wouldn't be able to participate in concerts for a little while as he would have to be healing from this wound. The drive back to the members house felt longer than it actually was. I didn't feel particularly safe there due to what had happened there the last time I had been there. Renjun explained to me that the security around the area had been upped since my ex had gotten in.

That had been good at least.

Once the minibus had stopped, everyone exited the vehicle and I got Taeyong out and began to push him towards the entrance of the building. We all went in and everyone went back to their rooms and doing what they usually did. Yet me and Taeyong went into the living room and his eyes widened at two older people sitting on the sofa. "Mother? Father?"
