My heart stopped and I grabbed onto Taeyong in fear of what would happen if I didn't. He slightly tightened his grip on me and pulled me closer as he looked around the room cautiously. "Get everyone else in here. Now." Mark nodded and slipped out of the room, trying not to make too much noise and draw attention to himself. "Taeyong I'm scared..." I mumbled while holding onto him, shivering lightly.
What if someone got into the room? What if one of the boys got hurt? Questions ran around my head in circles. He nodded and pulled me as close as humanly possible, kissing the top of my head yet his eyes remained glued to the door as he kept an eye on it. The tears formed within my eyes as I looked up at him, seeking the comfort that I craved.
He hushed me and kissed my temple when someone came back into the room. Mark. And behind him came the rest of NCT, most of them silently chattering of what it was inside of the house or who it was. Nobody could know for sure until we find them. "I called the company, they're sending over the police now. We need to stay in here and we'll hopefully be safe." I nodded.
They dragged the dressing table over towards the door as well as the desk and chair, barricading the door just in case the intruder tried to get inside. I barely realised that Taeyong had let me go and was helping the others to stack up the items within his room against the door. Mark noticed my unsettlement and walked over towards me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders as he sighed quietly. "It'll be okay." He spoke in soft whispers, trying not to draw attention to the room with all of the noise.
I felt my shoulders sag as I looked down at the floor in a constant discomfort of what was going to happen next. My anxiety levels rose and fell violently as I tried to distract myself from what was happening around us. Why now? Why here? It must just be some crazy fan or two who snuck into the members house to see them. Yeah that's it. It's just some fans.
One bang.
A second.
The door continued to get hit into as they tried to open it. They're really strong fans? It's nothing serious, right? They must just be really strong so that they are so anxious and excited to meet the members that they have an adrenaline rush so they're able to just hit into the door like that, with all of that strength. The door shook again as they smacked into it. The boys looked around before back at me. "Shit, what do we do now? They're going to get in here and we have nowhere to escape from."
They mumbled incoherently between them all before looking back at me, then up at the air duct that ran into Taeyong's room, as it did with all of the rooms. "We get Y/n up into the air duct and she'll go to the living room while we distract the intruder so she can go outside and get the authorities in here quickly." They all nodded and reached up, taking off the plastic protector and lifting me off the ground.
My palms became sweaty as they lifted me into the air duct and shut it once I was in. The walls seemed to close in on me yet I had to push the feeling aside and began to crawl through the tight space to try find the front room. I imagined myself to be walking out of the room and directing myself in the direction of the living room, it was surprisingly easy. The only hard part was having to keep myself quiet as it seemed the last time that I had done this.
The air duct vent came into view as I crawled towards it and peered down between the slots. I had successfully gotten to the living room without being caught. Down the hall I heard the smashing of the door as there was then the sound of the boys fighting. I carefully removed the plastic covering and slid down from the air duct and peered around. The coast was clear.
I slowly slid towards the door, oblivious to the large figure behind me, towering over my smaller figure. The lock was undone on the door before they spun me around, wrapping a hand around my neck as they chuckled quietly. I looked up at them and gasped, seeing my ex-boyfriend, with whom I had not seen in a year. "G-Go away..." I whimpered as he grabbed onto me tighter.
He simply shook his head and re-did the lock on the door, chuckling quietly and tutting. "Oh Y/n, how could I ever let you go again?" He smirked, his face showing how smug he was to have found me. "You disgust me." I spat at him and he simply laughed at my attempt to disobey him.
"Me? Disgust you? Oh sweetheart, I don't care about you. I just want you so that he can't have you, nobody can." I rolled my eyes at him. How childish could he be. He tightened his grip once more, it becoming harder to breathe than it had been before. His eyes, ones that used to be soft and full of love were now full of hatred and anger. Anger towards me was what I expected.
"Y/n." I snapped my eyes to look back at him as I waited for what he was going to say. "I love you and I want you back. Please." His hazel eyes softened slightly as he looked across my face for what I was going to say next. Yet they hardened once more before I could even open my mouth to swiftly reject him. They moved away from me and to a figure behind me. I could only guess who they were.
It couldn't have been the police since there was only the front and back door that they could enter in through. "Let her go." Taeyong. The man I had once known simply shook his head and chuckled as if that was the last thing that he had been willing to do at that moment. I screamed, trying to draw attention into the house from the outside so the police could know exactly where we were.
I winced at the sharp pain at the back of my head, then the world went black. I was surrounded by the deafening silence and all I remember was the look of horror on his face when I fell to floor.
