It's 6:12 pm, and I'm making my way to our usual pizza parlor. Gladys and I have agreed to meet there. I will be there even before 6:30. Olivia gets extra points. Her personality is way better than I was anticipating, plus she was quick to get dressed.

Gladys seems to be on the same time as Olivia and I. She pulls up right next to us as soon as we are about to exit the car.

"Great timing," she shouts.

Olivia is already making her way to my side of the car, notably, excited to meet Gladys.

She approaches Gladys, with hand outstretched for a shake, "and I thought Simone was good-looking."

This gets Gladys grinning. Olivia sure does know how to make a first impression.

"I'm always trying to tell her the same thing," Gladys jokes back at her.

Olivia is all smiles, chewing on her gum, once again, as if it's going out of style.

I roll my eyes at both of them, "Gee, Olivia. Olivia, Gee."

Olivia blows her gum and pops it, chuckling, "Livvy, please."

They follow me inside, all the time chit-chatting like they knew each other years ago. Something tells me we'll be seeing more of Livvy in our girls' time.

We settle into a booth, and Alicia, our waitress, is making her way towards us.

"Hi, lovelies. Usual? And I see we have another member to the once duo."

Olivia smiles at her and extends her hand, "hi, beautiful. I'm Livvy."

Alicia seems to blush for a second and shakes Livvy's hand, "nice to meet you, Livvy. Maybe you will choose for the group since you are new? What's it gon' be?"

Before Olivia can answer, I speak, "the usual, Alicia. She only gets to choose her drink. No more specials for her."

Olivia sits back, smiling, with her arms draped over the back of her seat, popping her gum at me.

"Don't you think the way you use your gum is a bit disrespectful?" I say, trying to sound stern.

"Sorry, aunty," she retorts, just before she leans across the table towards me and pops it again.

That gets Gladys laughing, and ultimately me, too.

"Don't," is all I say to her.

We enjoy our pizza, and the conversation is flowing. Olivia is great. She has a similar personality to Gladys. They both get along so well. I must say I was more worried than I should have been.

By the time we get done, Olivia has already worked her way into our Friday evening jog for the following day. I don't know how to feel about that. I told Gladys just this once, and she invited her without even consulting with me. I will have her neck tomorrow.
