Phillip and I are pulling up in the driveway, returning from the grocery store, and Olivia pulls up right behind us. She is being dropped off from spending the night with Tina.
She greets us both and starts helping with carrying the food inside the house, as well. She is always like that. If she sees you doing anything, she will offer her help.
After we unload everything, Phillip states that he will go meet his friends. They will go play golf. He changes real quick and is out the door.
I go to the kitchen to put away our purchases. After about ten minutes, I am finishing, and Olivia comes to the kitchen. I glance her way and try to savor her entirety. She has on some mean shorts and a pink tank top. She is barefoot. I don't even want to admire her, but I do. I'm sure that on any other woman, I wouldn't even take a second look, but there is something about her.
"I'm hungry!"
"I can imagine," I reply without even thinking.
She giggles, "what does that even mean?"
I smile back at her, "oh, nothing, nothing. Tell me. How was your night?"
She looks away from me for a while, and when she sees I'm waiting, she answers, carelessly, "I don't kiss and tell."
I wasn't expecting that.
"Fair enough."
"What about you? How was yours?" she asks.
I think I may have blushed, and she caught it.
"Ahh, so it's like that, huh? You had the house to yourself last night, so you did the unthinkable."
I start laughing, "whatever. I don't kiss and tell, Olivia."
"Livvy, please, and that's interesting. Maybe we can keep a secret... together, then."
My head snaps in her direction, "what does that even mean?"
She blows a bubble in her gum, "nothing, aunty."
I growl at her, and she approaches me. She wraps her arms around me, and they are instant. She awakens my butterflies.
"Feed me?"
I try to push away from her, for more reasons than one, "No!"
She holds me tighter and blows her gum close to my face, "Please?"
I stick my finger in the middle of the bubble, causing it to spread over her face. She is giggling.
"You bitch!" is all she says before she releases me.
That worked.
She gets something to eat, and after that I offer to let us look at advertising ideas for her work. She will be getting started with her small projects this upcoming week, so advertising is a must to keep them coming.
She sits so close to me, and I don't object. I enjoy our time together.
As we are finishing up, I notice her tank top is hanging off the left shoulder. There is a faint mark there. I know exactly what that is. That is a hickie. No doubt, by Tina. She catches me watching it, and I just look in her eyes for a few seconds before I get up, silently, and retrieve to my room.
I need a moment to myself. I feel so upset. I feel angry. Why? Why must I feel this way about her? I am a married woman. Why this? Why now? Why her?
