"Kailey! Do I have to?" I whined, really hoping she would go for a rain check. I'm already beat, from looking at the new workplace to getting an interior designer who understands my need, to go for furniture shopping for the floors. This counts enough exercise for one day than running on a treadmill for an hour could cover.

"It is starting off the second week of the new year and you are already procrastinating your resolution." she said through the speaker of my phone. I could imagine her shaking her head. Technically, it was her resolution I just included that in my list to keep her motivated.

"Isn't the resolution meant for procrastination?"

"Nope! I'm already a few blocks away from your apartment. You better be down before I reach there." with that say she hang up.

I looked at the phone then at my cozy hanging chair with 'House of spies' by Daniel Silva kept on it. Muttering a curse under my breath, I walked into my walk-in closet. Packing duffle bag with my yoga shorts, sports bra, and few other necessities I changed from my work clothes to regular.

'Phone check, headphones check, duffle bag check, keys...check.'

I walked out of the building to see Kailey's car waiting outside.

"I hate you." I mouthed as I opened the passenger side door.

"Hello to you too!"

"How was your meeting with Mr. Deighton?" she asked.

"It was successful. We got two floors at good rates. I already hired interior designer-"

"I meant," She interrupted. "How was your meeting with Zachary Deighton? Is he as charming as paps say?"

"Charming? Sure." I said sarcastically. Deep down I know for the fact that he is one of a kind. He is confident in what he carries and that winsome smile of his. And I am well experienced with this kind of guy. They all are mask face in public. I have already made fool of myself once by getting involved with one of the world tag bastards, and I'm not planning to add one more to the list.

"How do you even know about Zachary Deighton, anyway?" I could hardly identify him from our early childhood memory. And Kay here is my college friend who has no interest in business growth and anything related to it. There is a rare chance she will know about some business tycoon.

She laughed.

"I am sure half of the female population fantasizes about him. According to People magazine, he was ranked second for America's most eligible bachelor of 2017." She gushes, "How could you not remember that? Your own brothers were ranked in the top ten lists."

Then it clicked to me. How could I forgot about that day, it was hilarious to see Tyler all riled up about it. He throwed a big fuss when he saw Ryder and Dylan's rank were way higher than his.

"Oh right!"

We parked the car and rushed inside the building, escaping chilly wind.

"What's up with you these days?" I asked her.

"Nothing. Same old stuff. Making restaurant running and taking care of Jill is what occupies me lately." She released a tiring sigh.

"Kailey, you have come so far. And I'm so proud of you. My heart swells seeing how strongly you have handled yourself along with your brother and also kept family restaurant name stand proud." I said squeezing her shoulder.

Kailey had gone through a major disaster of life a couple of years ago when we were fresh out of our undergraduate college. It took her months to stand back on her feet. She took care of her family will that include restaurant Là Ambrosia in the upper west side city.
