"Is Ryder here yet?" I asked Mrs. J, my parent's housekeeper as she helped me take off the coat.

"Yes Miss McQueen, he is in the study room with your dad." she replied. Thanking her I first went to the kitchen, where I know mom would be.

"Hey mom!" I greeted and hugged her from behind. She spins around, "Hello dear! How was your week at your new office?" she asked.

"It was great but tiring." I replied. It's going to be one week to McQueen and Specter's firm at the Deighton Empire. Transaction have been somewhat smoothly if we minus the hustle among the workers.

"Did our dresses arrived for tomorrow night?" I asked remembering a red velvet dress that I want to wear to the party. And the black gown she is wearing.

"Yes, your dress is in your closet. I will have someone put that in your car." mom said.

"Thanks, mom!" I said. "I will go and meet dad and Ryder."

"Get them down for dinner in few minutes." she said.

"I will." and I made my way out of the kitchen to upstairs.
I walked two flights of stairs and to far end alley. Knocking at the door, I entered.

There was only Ryder in the room who was sitting on one of the recliners and doing some paperwork.
Ryder is my eldest brother, he is 32 and a lawyer. He is also part of McQueen & Specter firm, and legal adviser of a running political party.

"Hera!" he stood up from his seat and hugged me.

"Hey! How are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm doing good. How was the work?" he replied.

"Team has good potential. We have started working on numerous cases already." I replied.

"That reminds me, Ryder there is something I realized we never discussed." We moved to couches and took our seats.

"What is that?"

"You see, the firm name is McQueen & Specter Co. and the new firm is only handled by McQueen. Specters have no input in it, or do they?" I asked.

I have been busy with settling and bringing the team to the building that I didn't realize we have no official documents from Specter's input on it. As a firm both the name partners should be handling the firm with equal responsibilities like in other branches.

"You don't have to worry about it, Hera. All I know is granddad had handled it. So far so long no family members of Specters have been intrigued with new firm. They are just the name partner since Mason decided not to join the firm." He replied, but I don't know why I feel there is more to it. I am going to find it out.

"Alright." I said planning to discuss about it later, "Come downstairs, mum had set the dinner table."

"I will be down in a minute." Ryder replied.

Dinner was soon done with our daily highlights. Mom is a public activist and speaker, she is currently working on the importance of vaccination in a child's life. Dad told about some cases he had to judge. With Ryder, he kept his work confidential until it's a public statement. But we get into a good argument about what should have happened and what better they could do.

If you are wondering about Dylan and Tyler, they both informed they are going to find a new suit for tomorrow's event. But we all know there would be anywhere in the world but shopping.

The next morning, I walked into the office and greeted by my employees.

"Good Morning Ms. McQueen" Tristan, my assistant greeted. He is 22, and freshly out of college. And for now, he is on a trial basis until he proves his worth.
