To everyone's complete shock and surprise, Hermione and Sirius entered their sixth month of official dating. Maybe Hermione had actually been able to tame him, or maybe it was his love for her, or maybe she was just his experiment. But six months of a relationship Isn't really all that much when you hardly get to talk to one another because of the ridiculous amount if studying. Yes, even smug Sirius Black studied when he had too.
They finally reached the Winter Holidays, but with a week to go before they started, Hermione still wasn't sure what she was going to do. All of her friends were going home and when she asked Sirius what he was going to do he just shrugged smugly.
The next time she brought up the Winter Holidays was three days before everyone left. They were walking through the grounds of Hogwarts, their hands clasped together.
"So Granger, what are you doing this holiday?" Sirius asked cheerfully.
"I actually don't know. I suppose I should go home for the break, but I haven't even written a letter to my mum yet. What about you?"
"I'll be going to my house..."
"As in your parents house or your own house that you brought."
"My own house obviously. It's gonna be great."
"I'm sure." Hermione replied.
"Apart from when I get lonely..."
Hermione stayed silent. What was he getting at?
"Will you come over?" He asked.
Hermione smiled. "Yeah sure. What day?"
"How about everyday?" He asked smugly.
Hermione stopped. "Wait... do you mean you want me to stay over at your house?"
Sirius laughed smugly. "Yep. For the whole break."
Hermione made a surprised noise. "Are you serious?"
"That's my name." He winked and Hermione fought the urge to slap him. "Only if you want." He replied.
"Yeah. That'll be great. But I'll need to meet my family at some point."
"Thats fine. I'll come with you," He winked. "And also Prongs, Moony and Wormtail will be over at some point."
"Obviously," Hermione rolled her eyes but she smiled excitedly. "So I'll spend the first night at my parents, get my stuff and come and... live with you."
"Yep." Sirius smiled.
"I bet you're a pain to live with." Hermione laughed.
"You bet." He retorted and embraced her in a friendly hug.
Fifteen minutes later, Hermione raced up to her Dormitory. Only Mary was still in there and she raced over to her and hugged her over excitedly.
"Guess what Mary! Guess what!"
"Is it to do with Black?"
"Yeeessss!"
"What happened?" She asked excitedly.
"I'm staying with him over the holiday!"
"Oh my Merlin! You're kidding?!"
"Nope, he asked me!"
Mary squealed. "Oooohh. That's too cute. You're going to have such a great time together!"
"I knowww!"
Mary and Hermione gossiped for quite a long while by themselves before Lily and Marlene joined them. It had been a while since she'd talked with Mary properly, because they were both constantly busy. Hermione had missed her. Mary had always been such a fantastic friend, always supportive and there for her. Sometimes she forgot how lucky she was to have such amazing friends. So at that moment Hermione vowed to always appreciate all of her friends... and her amazing boyfriend.
Dedicated to all of my amazing friends, because you all have the same perfect qualities as Mary and I always appreciate you all even if I don't always tell you xxxxxxxx
