Hurricane

[Hamilton:]
In the eye of a hurricane
There is quiet
For just a moment
A yellow sky

Alexander sunk into his seat tightly gripping onto the seat

When I was seventeen a hurricane
Destroyed my town

"..shit.." Thomas looked down

I didn't drown
I couldn't seem to die

Aaron turned pale as if he' seen A ghost

I wrote my way out
Wrote everything down far as I could see
I wrote my way out
I looked up and the town had its eyes on me

"Is that why he always writes..." James thought to himself

They passed a plate around
Total strangers
Moved to kindness by my story
Raised enough for me to book passage on a
Ship that was New York bound...

"See him now as he stands on the bow of a ship heading for a new land..." Aaron sung the words to himself quietly

I wrote my way out of hell
I wrote my way to revolution

"Why do you write like you're running out of time..."

I was louder than the crack in the bell
I wrote Eliza love letters until she fell
I wrote about The Constitution and defended it well

"He sure as hell did..." James nodded to the best of the song

And in the face of ignorance and resistance
I wrote financial systems into existence

"Oh now that's bullshit" Thomas exclaimed staring at Lin

And when my prayers to God were met with indifference
I picked up a pen, I wrote my own deliverance

"Write day and night like you're running out of time..."

In the eye of a hurricane
There is quiet
For just a moment
A yellow sky

I was twelve when my mother died

"Grandma?" Phillip asked...Alexander could only nod in response
She was holding me

"Oh wow..." Laurens wrapped his arm around Alex

We were sick and she was holding me
I couldn't seem to die

"Please don't die man..." Herc looked over at Alexander with a frown

[Burr:]
Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...

"Way to ruin a song.." Laurens glared at Leslie who only became more concentrated on his lines.

[Hamilton:]
I'll write my way out...

[Burr and Ensemble:]
Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...

[Hamilton:]
Write ev'rything down, far as I can see...

"You did...and I ruined it.."

[Burr and Ensemble (Washington/Eliza/Angelica/Maria):]
Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, wait... (History has its eyes on you)

"God now we're all doing it.." Laf pointed out

[Hamilton:]
I'll write my way out...
Overwhelm them with honesty

"Overwhelmed the world man..." James spoke out

This is the eye of the hurricane, this is the only
Way I can protect my legacy...

[Company (Except Hamilton):]
Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it, wait...

[Hamilton:]
The Reynolds Pamphlet

Thomas James and Aaron all smiled at each other,

Alexander stared at the stage in pure dread.
