|9| The nightmare(1)

You woke up in a dark place, looking around very confused. Where were you? Even though you should have been able to see in the darkness you couldn't. Your vision didn't work for some reason. Suddenly, you heard something. A loud cracking sound seemed to come from all around you, bouncing off the walls surrounding you. You shuddered, feeling dread as you slowly got up onto your feet. What is this? You were completely confused and disoriented. You reached out, trying to find a wall so you could navigate yourself at least a bit. It took you some time, but you were able to find a wall some meters from where you were standing. You stroked the cold and unfamiliar surface. It was made of some kind of stone or cement. You walked along it to a corner. You turned and walked along the other side until you found a door. You felt around the frame trying to find a handle. And you did. As soon as you felt the cold metal against your hand you slowly turned it. As soon as the door opened a bright light shone through what seemed to be a long hallway. You walked towards the light, now more curious than before. As you stumbled forward, you heard weird sounds coming from behind you. A female voice suddenly shouted. "Don't turn around! Run!" You shrieked and started running out of instinct. You didn't know what it was that made you do it, but for some reason, even tho you didn't want to, you slowly turned your head to see behind you. The moment you did you fell. You hit the cold floor, bumping your head pretty harshly. You hissed at the pain and looked towards the door you had run from previously. Nothing. Silence was all you could hear, besides your heavy breathing and unstable heartbeat. You had tears in your eyes as you slowly got up. You turned around to walk towards the light again, but the moment you did, you stumbled back. Instead of a door, there was a wall. A wall full of words, written in what seemed to be blood. You didn't know why but for some reason you knew it belonged to no other than you.

You felt how your body started shaking. What was this? What was the meaning behind all of this? You held your head, as a mental image appeared, which made you burst out in tears. It was a women with long brown hair and yellow eyes, staring at you from afar. With every step she took she grew closer and closer, and then she started smiling at you. The moment your eyes locked with hers, you bolted out of your bed, panting, sweat running all over your body.

This one turned out to be a little short, since I just had this idea and it doesn't affect the storyline for now, so I thought "why not just throw it in there?" Anyways I hope you all enjoy the story so far~😘❤️
