You stirred as sunlight hit your eyes. You groaned sleepily, not wanting to get up yet. Suddenly a thought popped into your head and you bolted upright. You immediately regretted it tho as a slight headache started forming from the sudden movement. "It's Saturday!" You exclaimed loudly to no one in particular. This meant today was your little 'date' with Your favorite clown in town! You got up right away and made your way over to the bathroom. You turned half way to the door forgetting your phone. You grabbed it off the charger and skipped towards the bathroom. You unlocked it and checked the time. It was 10am. Perfect! You'd have as much time to get ready as you wanted. You hopped into the shower enjoying the warm water before drying off and getting dressed. Since you had plenty of time you made your way downstairs slowly, stretching in the process. You grabbed some meat out of the fridge and plopped down onto the couch in front of the device. You scanned the room for the remote and soon found it, turning on the tv. Of course you were gonna watch the local news, see if anything new happened besides the usual. You started to bite at the chunk of meat enjoying its flavor. You only had two plates left which meant you'd have to go hunting soon. This thought excited you. Just as you were thinking about it, something on the screen cought your attention. The reporter was interviewing the lost girl's mom. You had totally forgotten about her! She was just a small snack for you, but these people cared for her. You smirked as the mom tried to hold back her tears. "We have almost lost hope." She stated. "But we won't give up! I pray everyday for her safety and well-being!" She said and the camera showed a few pics of the girl with her family. You sighed, concentrating onto your food as they announced a phone number in case someone found her. You hated all this emotional Bullshit that humans had to go through. Mourning someone's death, getting depressed.... they were so fragile and stupid. You laughed, thinking about the remains of the kids you had in your fridge. Their families surely lost hope too after a while. But that's just how it is. There are superior species who eat the weaker animals. And in this case, you and Penny were the superior ones. You knew humans wouldn't get it, to them you'd be a monster. A demon. But it was completely normal in your eyes. You sighed as you finished and washed the plate before scrolling through your phone for a bit. It was 11am now. You didn't feel like eating lunch, since you had just eaten breakfast so you decided to take a walk before visiting the redhead. You smiled to yourself as you put on your coat and walked out the door. You locked it and put the keys inside your pocket. The weather was getting warmer as summer inched closer day by day. You liked spring, but were kinda more of a summer lover. You walked along the street for a few mins and finally reached the dirt road that lead to the river near the sewers. A few kids passed you, giggling and having fun chasing each other. You glanced at them for a second and thought about which to hunt down later. You soon smiled as you saw the sewer entrance in the distance. You missed the place. You walked over to the river and almost reached the opening. You looked to the side at the surface of the water. It's waves were shimmering in the sunlight. It made you smile. Everything here seemed so peaceful. Well besides the killer clown of course. As you looked back, you saw the figure of a tall redhead stand in the shadows of the entrance. "Penny!" You exclaimed and walked over to him with joy. He turned and smiled brightly as he saw you approaching. "Hey cotton candy~ glad you could make it" He said and winked at you playfully. This made your cheeks heat up and you chuckled a bit. The clown lead you into his home and soon you were walking through the thick vault door that lead into his domain. You both went straight for the small, dimly lit stage in the middle. He sat down cross legged and you dangled your feet off the side next to him. "How's work going?" Penny asked out of the blue and you shrugged, laid back onto the old wooden floorboards. "It's nice. I mean, it can be annoying sometimes but I need the money to pay bills." You sighed and looked up at him with a smile of envy. "You're more lucky. You get to spend your time wherever you want, live down here in this wonderful place," you stretched out your arms "and most of all you don't have to work!" You sighed again, looking back at the ceiling. Penny just chuckled. "Well you are capable of so much more than having to work for those humans." He said, his voice reaching softer regions than usual. "Why do you not just live like I do?" He asked and you shook your head slightly. "I mean, I wont ever find any place this amazing.." You said turning your head to the side to be able to look at him. "And I've always used human houses to sleep in. Are the easiest places to get." You grinned slightly. "Only had to cut off a few heads, but got the house in exchange~" You joked and he touched your shoulder suddenly. You turned around, surprised at him a bit. "What would you say, If I invited you to stay here?" He asked and you just stared blankly into his baby blue eyes. Did he just invite you to live with him? After your train of thoughts had passed, you were able to speak again. "A-are you sure?" You asked and he shrugged with his big smile, his cute front teeth showing. He just looked adorable. You sat up and gave him a bear hug which he gladly returned. You pressed your face into his ruffled collar which was pretty soft. His body heat and his inhumanly beating heart had a calming effect on you. You looked up at him forcing yourself to not fall asleep in his warmth. Just as you looked up, he turned away. You were a bit confused but as you caught a glimpse of a slight pink tint on his cheeks, you knew. You smiled and blushed too, slowly letting go of his body. "I need to think about it for a while. But I'd love to!" You answered and he smiled even brighter, if possible. He then rasped himself and jumped onto his feet. You looked up at him, wondering what he was up to. He just smiled sweetly at you and stretched out his hand. "Wanna go for a walk sweets?" You smiled and grabbed his hand. You were immediately pulled up into his arms and you chuckled. He didn't let go of your hand tho. Which you didn't mind at all, it made you rather happy. With intertwined hands he started leading you outside, turning into his human form to not raise any suspicion on the streets.
