You woke up, startled for second as of where you were, but soon calmed down. You sat up in your bed, sighing as you got up. You checked your phone cringing at the brightness of the screen. It was 2am. You walked downstairs into your kitchen to grab something to drink. You poured yourself some water and gulped it down immediately. You stood there, leaning against the kitchen counter deep in thought. For some reason you were drenched in sweat but couldn't remember your dream. You knew it had to be a nightmare. After a while you shrugged it off and walked back up the stairs as you heard a sound at your front door. You stopped in your tracks on the fourth step and slowly turned towards the hallway where your front door was. You heard fiddling at your lock and you immediately understood what it meant. A burglar! Someone was trying to break in. A smile slowly krept onto your lips as you tiptoed your way back into the kitchen and hid behind the counter. Finally the door opened softly, creaking ever so slightly. Then you heard footsteps. From the sound of it it was a single person. You grinned mischievously. The person made their way into the kitchen, but soon you heard them go upstairs. They probably looked for something more expensive then kitchen utensils. You walked after them with light steps. The house was so very silent. You thought about ways to scare them to death. You saw them approach your bedroom. Now that you were closer you noticed it was a guy. You hid in the shadows as he carefully opened the door. You heard him sigh in relief as he saw your empty bed probably assuming no one was home. You heard him rummage through your shelves and you finally had an idea as you approached the door.

-Burglar's Pov-
I looked through the shelves for something worth for breaking in. I finally found a necklace with a gem that looked pretty expensive and put it in my pocket. As I was about to open their dresser I heard something at the door. I spun around in fear of being cought but what I saw made me almost shit my pants. A big, clawlike hand reached for the lightswitch next to the door. It's sharp nails leaving a small trail on the wallpaper next to the switch. My mouth hung open and I didn't know what to do. With each heartbeat it grew closer to the switch until finally - it was pitch black. I shrieked a little and pressed my self against the wall opposite the door. Then, I heard the door creack open and a silhouette of a figure emerged into the shadows of the room. I felt how my legs started shaking. I took a sharp breath, not noticing that I had held it in for this long. The thing came closer. All I could see was it's long distorted arm which ended in long, sharp twisted fingers. My legs wouldn't stop shaking as it slowly moved towards me and I felt paralyzed. "N-no! NO! Get away from me!" I screamed but it didn't stop. It reached out for me with its claws and i closed my eyes shaking all over. I heard a chuckle and then-
-POV over-
You chuckled at the sight of him clenching his eyes shut in fear. It was fun to toy with your prey before they faced the inevitable. At last you put your finger on his throat before slowly trailing down to his stomach. You heard his flesh tearing open and his screams were muffled by your other hand. Before he passed out for good you grabbed his guts and tore them out, licking the fresh blood off the still fresh organ. You liked the taste. A lot. He finally collapsed on the ground and you started cleaning off all traces of evidence that were left behind. At around 3:40am you were done and sighed, a satisfied look on your face. Now you could go back to sleep with a full stomach and no missing items from the break in. Before you did thou you went over to your dresser and put the necklace back in place. This was an eventful night you thought as you went back to bed.
