Finally! You were finally done with today. Your shift wasn't that bad, since not many people had visited the store today. You hummed as you grabbed your stuff and was about to leave, as Dana called out to you."Y/N! I forgot to give you this!" She shouted, waving your plan for the next week in front of you. You looked at it and smiled. Monday, Tuesday off. Great! You thanked her and made your way outside. Penny stood there, leaning against the wall of the store, obviously waiting for you. You greeted each other and walked towards your home. You had fun teasing him, having small talk and things like that. You showed him your worksheet for next week and bragged about not having to work the first two days. Of course there was no actual reason for you to brag, since he didn't even work. So he wouldn't envy you at all. But you were just in a good mood so you didn't care. You reached your house in no time and hugged him tightly. You wanted the day to be over as soon as possible, so you could meet with him the next day. "How about we meet at the sewers? You haven't visited in so long." Penny said, and you nodded." Of course! I'd be happy to!" You answered and after a while he left.
-time skip-
You laid in bed, thinking back to how your day went. It was fun. Penny was a really nice guy and you always enjoyed spending time with him. You smiled to yourself, as your eyelids started to become heavier. You sighed as you slowly started falling asleep in the warmth of your covers.
...
You stirred, sitting up with a sore back. You stretched and slowly opened your eyes, blinking a few times to adjust yourself to your surroundings. As your vision cleared your heart stopped for a second. You knew this place... a terrible feeling spread in your gut, slowly forming a tight knot deep in your stomach, which made you feel incredibly uncomfortable in your own skin. As you tried to calm your breathing, to stop you from panicking you heard slow, eerie footsteps coming from behind you. They were echoing all around you and bouncing off the walls, giving the effect of there being multiple people. But as you turned around, to your horror, you noticed the source of the sound. It was the same women, her hair covering most of her face, from your previous dream. She was walking towards you from a smaller distance than the last time you saw her. As you saw her tall form getting closer, a sudden wave of dread and loneliness washed over you. You stared into her dimly and sickly glowing yellow eyes. You gulped. It felt like you were chained down to the spot. You couldn't move an inch, not even move a muscle. All you could do was wait for her to approach. You noticed how your body started shaking without you being able to do anything against it. The hairs at the back of your neck stood up, alarmed at the utterly horrifying situation in front of you. You held your breath the closer she got, until finally, she stood mere meters away from you. You tried convincing your dream self that all of this was just a dream, an illusion, a trick your mind played on you, but to no surprise, it didn't help in the slightest. You verse about to give up, tears filling the corners of your eyes, as she bent down towards you. Her face grew closer to yours and you felt shivers run down your spine. He hair fell in front of her face, covering it completely. You gulped not knowing what to make of the situation you were in right now. Suddenly, she reached out to you and you closed your eyes immediately waiting for a hard impact on your skin, scratching, or even the tearing of flesh. Nothing. Silence was all you could hear, and no movement was happening. You slowly owned your eyes, looking up at her warily. Her yellow eyes seemed to glow persistently at you, her brown hair tugged behind her ears. Now you could finally see her features clearly. She looked to be a young, in her mid 20s, woman. Her long brown hair had lost it's glow, and now hung over her shoulders like a dirty, worn out rug. Her lips were dried out, ripped at some parts, mostly the corners. And her eyes...Her yellow eyes, had lost all life power. They looked like they were supposed to be bright and kind, giving back the same warm color as the sun. But all that was left of them was a dirty, dim yellow. You stared back at her, as she touched your face. It was nothing like you expected it to be. Her gentle, careful touch surprised you. It wasn't what you'd expect from her, considering her looks. She literally looked like a walking, aged corpse. oh gulped, as her expression started to change. Her face started getting younger. Or at least going back to how she must have looked like before she died. Her expression grew soft, and her eyes radiated a warmth, you didn't know even existed in this place. You felt a tear escape your eye, and she wiped it away. "It's time to wake up, sweetiepie." Her voice cut you out of your stare, and not even a second later darkness surrounded you. You bolted up into a sitting position, holding your cheek. You were in your bed. The dream left you feeling uneasy and with a bad feeling, but all in all it was better than last time. The voice of the woman didn't want to leave your head as you laid back down, and started to doze back into a (This time) hopefully peaceful night's sleep. One thought didn't want to leave you tho. ...She sounded an awful lot like your mother...
