|15| The kiss

The girl screamed as you lurched at her with your sharp claws, ripping at her soft skin. You chuckled, wich sounded more like a gurgle and made her back away, forgetting that the clown was still standing behind her. You licked your lips, saliva dripping down to the ground. Bill Looked at you in sheer horror. You looked down at your body. All you could see was a black mist surrounding your form. It looked like a shadow was all you were made of. But at the ends of your arms, big claws had sprouted. You were overjoyed at your new appearance. It had worked! Suddenly, a strong, aromatic smell spread across the room. You shuddered at the sickly sweetness of it. It made you crave your pray even more. In the blink of an eye, you jumped at the boy, biting into his neck with razor sharp teeth. Your mouth had opened wider than ever, just like you had seen Penny do. As you were busy silencing Bill, the clown worked his way on the girl. You heard a faint scream, then silence. You looked over, letting go of the limp body in your mouth. It fell to the floor and you smiled. The girl's head was gone. Probably eaten by your favorite redhead. You smiled as Penny came over to you, wiping away the dripping blood from your mouth. The taste was amazing. You pursed your lips into an eerie smile and the clown chuckled. "Wow..I didn't know you could do that." He said and you shrugged. "I didn't know either. I actually wanted to turn into a.. how do I put this...more visible form?" You said jokingly as you looked like you literally were made out of shadows. He smiled and you returned it. This date had gotten even better. Penny grabbed the corpses and flung them over his shoulder. You did the same and the both of you made your way back towards the sewers. You skipped along the road next to the clown. You walked along a few sidewalks and then along the dirt road not to be seen. After about 20mins you found the entrance of the sewers and jumped in. After reaching the auditorium you threw the bodies to the floor and waited for Penny to do his thing. He released his dead lights and the kids started levitating upwards, towards the swaying pile in the middle of the other lost kids. Of course the ones without head were immediately consumed by the two of you. They tasted delicious. After you finished your meal, you relaxed your body and changed back easily. It felt more natural for the second time. Penny watched you with his baby blue eyes, curious about how you suddenly were able to shape shift like he can. "So.. you never tried it before?" He asked you suddenly, and you shook your head. "No. Never. It was a bit hard, but still really fun!" You exclaimed and smiled at him. "So... how did you like our date?" He suddenly asked, which made you look up at him with flushed cheeks. His expression was soft, with a tint of pink across his cheeks. This made you smile. So he did think of this as a date. As he noticed your lack of words, he started mumbling. "I-I mean if it makes you too uncomfortable for this to be looked upon as a date I-" you cut him off, chuckled slightly at how cute he was. You hadn't seen this side of him yet and it made you happy that he showed it to you. "Penny." He stopped and looked back at you. You gave him a reassuring smile before speaking up. "I loved our date~" you said and a contagious smile spread across his face. You smirked at the sudden mood swings he had. It was even fun to just stand by and watch his actions. The two of you sat there in silence for a while, but it was a comfortable silence. Then he spoke up. "Y/N... I was actually thinking that.." he started, but half way got a bit embarrassed. Maybe it was the fact that he wasn't human, or because you had excellent hearing, but you could hear his already rapidly beating heart fasten up even more, if possible. You waited for him to continue patiently. "Uh.. I mean I get it if you don't feel the same but.." at this point he was really struggling to get the words out. "I-I have never met anyone like you." He said and looked into your eyes with an expression which was full of affection. Now your heart was also staring to beat twice as fast. "And.. I'm not just saying this because you are one of a kind, I'm also saying this because that's honestly how I feel about you." Now your breathing seemed to also stop. You felt slightly lightheaded. Was this really happening?! "Anyways.. I wanted to tell you that.. I grew to like you a lot. And I think, for the first time ever in my billions of years of existence I have fallen for someone. And that someone is you." As he finished, he couldn't even blink twice as you jumped at him and pulled him into a tight hug. He was a bit taken aback, but soon relaxed against the soothing heat your body provided. You snuggled close to him resting your head in the crook of his neck. Your eyes were a bit teary but you didn't care. This was the happiest moment ever. You had lived for quite some time too, but never found anyone this special to you either. You wanted to tell him so much more in response, but all you could muster was "I love you too you goofy clown!" Before wrapping your arms around his neck and clashing your lips against his. The moment lasted long, and he wrapped his big arms around your back holding you as close as possible. After you let go of him you two parted and stared into each other's eyes. He suddenly chuckled and you looked at him a bit confused. "Your eyes. They're pink" he stared and this made you blush. But then a smirk came over you. "Yours are turquoise~" you said and he smiled before kissing your lips again muffling your chuckle.
