Kongpob's P.O.V.

I knew he would be late, for some weird reason I had that hunch but there was literally no sign of  him and I had already waited for about half an hour now, that jerk had really something on how to make me hate him even more.

It had been over half an hour and fifty calls later, all I hear is,

“Let it be Kong, we’re not going.”

And that too when I had practically barged into his dorm (though, I knocked first)

Could I be spared for killing a demon?

“What do you mean by that?” I asked.

He was sitting by his bed, hair being a mess and his eyes droopy, slouched, wearing his green shirt and shorts, he definitely seemed like he would go back to sleep if it wasn’t for the fact that I was standing right infront of him with my intervention stance.

He was sitting there without having the conscience of being infront of his junior, that he was a bloody head hazer to.

“What do you mean by that? Do you know for how long I've waited? How many calls-”

“I was asleep.” Arthit cut me off like I was some annoying piece of garbage, well maybe I was but this was no way  to treat your fake boyfriend.

I glared the death out of him until he was sitting rather upright and looking up at me, gosh! He really had those cute puppy eyes though, I mean, he looked like a literal puppy under someone’s scrutiny.

“So your parents cancelled on us?” I asked while gradually sitting by the chair away from him.

He scratched his head as if being in a dilemma whether to speak out or not.

“Speak it out, P', I've already known you enough.” I sighed.

“They didn’t cancel, I am just skipping this..” He said before glancing at me.

“And why?” I asked.

“Well, because maybe… this will backfire on us… I'll come up with an excuse… like…. We broke up.” He shrugged.

I raised my eyebrows as I crossed my arms, “So we broke up?”

“Yeah.” He said

“And what's the reason?”

“What?” He looked at me, perplexed.

“Why did we break up?”

He looked confused before he went along, “Well, it wasn’t working out.”

“What do you mean by that? Was I not a good boyfriend?”

“Kongpob!” Arthit shouted.

“I’m not going anywhere until you convince me.” I shook my head.

“Well, okay… we broke up because you were the world’s most pathetic boyfriend.” He spat out.

I kept a hand over by chest, mock hurt by his statement.

“What did I do? You always looked forward to me, you seemed so into me, you were the one to approach me when I was in highschool! I joined this college because of you! I did everything for you! I did 500 pushups and 1000 sit ups till date for you!” I shouted before acting like I was going to tear up.

“Kong!”

“Since when did you start calling me Kong?” I asked.

He rolled his eyes. “Seriously Kongpob, leave.”

“I’m leaving with you, P', do you know how hurt your parents might be like that? They’ll probably think that they’re the reason we broke up, we can’t act like that…. Just think about it!” I said.

He looked at me as if he was finally realising what I was trying to say.

“I’m only helping you, P' Arthit, I have no other reason to involve myself in this shit.” I spoke up rather seriously.

He sighed loudly, “Guess, we are doomed then.”

*****

“Just why?” Arthit said under his breath more to himself than me.

“Maybe your parents needed a little time…” I tried to reason.

“No one asked for your opinion.” He scowled before grasping my hand rather reluctantly as I rolled my eyes and made my way inside the house with him.

If this time I don’t get a tour inside this comfy house, I'll kill myself.

I immediately let go off his hand when I was under his Dad’s gaze. I greeted him with a wai and he greeted back with a strange kind of stern smile on his face, as if he didn’t want to smile but he was doing it anyway.

“Oh, you came.” The mom seemed relieved before she hugged her son and then gave the widest, warmest smile I had ever seen.

“Mom-”

His mom was acting as if nothing was wrong , just how amazing of a drama I had witnessed the previous time around here.

She had cut Arthit when he tried to point the clash out.

She turned to us, a bright smile and warm teary eyes as she held Arthit’s face, “I’m sorry, Arthit, for reacting that way, now I realise why you never wanted us to know about your dating, and we didn’t make it easy…. I can’t imagine what kind of courage and strength you had to go through…. I'm sorry.”

Okay, now I felt way too ashamed and guilty, would it be fine if I cried by the corner?

I was actually having tears in my eyes while Arthit hugged her, unable to meet her eyes.

I glared at him, a snob like him didn’t deserve to have such a loving mom.

He was not even emotional, but I could see the guilt practically chewing him, well, just imagine when his parents realise the truth, just how heartbroken they would be.

I bet that the senior was rather straight.

I was brought back at present when his mom turned to me. I tried to smile, but I was actually pretty shame faced at that moment to look at her.

Oh god, what was I doing?

She kept a hand over my hair as I bowed my head a little in respect.

“I’m sorry, Kongpob, but I promise  to love as much just like my son.” She said before pulling me in a hug too.

I could feel my insides churn, gosh! Why did I ever agree to this ploy with P'?

His mom was sunshine in human form!

I glanced at Arthit as she moved away, glaring at him, he looked away.

“Come on, let’s have dinner, you must be hungry.” She said.

I moved to Arthit, “It’s better if we speak the truth even now.” I whispered.

“Don’t you dare, just play along.” Arthit whispered back.

I glared at him before he walked ahead and I bore my stinging glare to his shoulders while following behind.

I'll kill this guy someday.
