Kongpob's P.O.V.“I don’t care that the teacher held you back or anything, and if you want to be the bloody hero, do 250 sit-ups and 100 push ups, right now!” Arthit shouted enough loudly that my ears seemed to ring a little.
Of course he was going to have such a rough voice if he was constantly shouting at everyone, now I realised why he had those sweets for sore throat almost always in his pockets.
I glared at him, atleast no one else was getting punished.
I took in a breath before I started with the sit-ups around the seated classmates while the senior was furiously glaring at me, standing infront of me.
At least this was the last day of hazing before we would be given the break for our preparations for the fresher activities.
Damn! I already had a lot on my plate and on top of it all, the Head Hazer still refused to cut me any slack, being as cruel as ever.
He always had this notion, “Why do you always stand up for everybody? Why do always want to be a hero?”
It was simple, they were my classmates and friends and this was my nature, I had never known how to not stand up for myself and others when I could. I was not being a hero, this was how I was, deal with it.
I glowered at his direction before he turned to others, shouting more to them as if he was directing his anger he had held for me to them.
Gradually he ended the session and I refused to look at him while I felt him gazing at me, walking towards me.
I ignored him as I picked up my bag and rushed towards the basketball court where I had my practice.
Even if I was exhausted, atleast Wad and M would be best at their game.
They had already started with the game.
“Hey, Kong, you should rest for sometime first.” M said immediately, refusing to let me practice with them so I sat by the bench, analysing their game and noting everyone’s playing strategy.
Even if I was going to sit back, I needed to be doing something.
“I’m sorry…. You had to get punished because of us…”
I was startled when Oak had slipped beside.
“No big deal, we aren’t at fault anyway, these hazers should learn that this is not a bloody military school.” I said, already feeling the strain in my voice.
“Anyway, go rest in your dorm, mate, you’ll not be playing majorly in this, don’t you have your moon star contest to work on too?”
Oh shit! I forgot!
I had to meet up with Praepilin!
“Yeah, I'll meet you later.” I said before keeping back my notebook and hurrying out to the rehearsal hall.
“Where were you?” Prae furrowed her eyebrows while I smiled before I sat back on the floor facing her.
“So, you've decided?” She asked.
“Yeah, what about singing?” I asked.
“I’m not a good singer, Kong.” She scowled at me.
“But you play the guitar so effortlessly! We’ll utilise that talent.” I said.
She finally smiled, she is actually beautiful especially when she smiled.
And gradually we started to plan out our performance and sometimes we were interrupted by the second year seniors who were pretty helpful too.
