Her beautiful shade of lips turned blue. Her breaths stopped falling over her lips.

Her chest wasn't moving anymore. Her eyes were closed, for never to open anymore.

My right hand rested on her ice cold face. My other hand tangled in with her brown locks.

My only wish was for her to survive, for the corners of her pinkish lips to curl up in a happy smile. But now it's all gone. She is gone.

The silence in the dark room was nerve wrecking, no one dared to speak.

Cande was silently staring towards the lifeless body I was holding. Nurses were surrounded around the white, static bed.

Her cold body was pressed against mine through my arms. I wasn't letting her go, not ever.

She was an angel who flew away from earth too soon. She didn't deserve to be gone already.

I'm just happy she is resting in peace right now, she finally has the rest she deserves.

The tears keep diggling down my cheeks while my lips are connected with the soft skin of her neck.

"I love you" I repeatedly whispered in her ear. My breath was quick and full of hurt.

"I'm so sorry sir, but we need you to step away from her..." The nurse rambled on but I didn't listen. My only focus was on Tini's non moving chest.

The fact that she was really dead.

I felt a body sitting next to me, and immediately recognised it as Cande's scent.

I noticed how she took her hand through the open places of Tini's hair. I heard the sounds of crying coming from Cande.

"We miss you" She whispered in Tini's direction. I nodded in agreement. She couldn't hear us, but neither of us cared.

"Ma'am, sir, please step away from the body" I took a deep inhale before untangling my body from hers.

I took Cande's hand and led her away from Tini. We silently sat down on two chairs, she started crying in my chest.

My tears started rolling again as well.

I held onto her, she held onto me. "We'll get through this, right?" She asked. And instead of supporting her question, I couldn't

"I don't know" I cried out. "She's really gone" I added in disbelief. My voice was slowly breaking down in sadness and pain.

"She is" Cande confirmed with the same sadness in her tone.

The black suit that covered my body was just as dark as my feelings. The sadness of this day was indescribable.

My parents have supported me till this day. They're also coming to the funeral.

Cande was standing in front of me, wearing a black dress. I could see the left over tears stain on her cheeks.

I walked over to her and hugged her. My parents and Cande are the only ones who have kept me standing the last days.

Cande and I needed each others support, we needed our friendship.

She became like a sister to me in these past days, someone I couldn't live without.

"Let's do this" I said, inhaling and exhaling before we walked out of my room together. My parents and her parents were waiting for us downstairs.
