I blinked a few times before opening my eyes. My vision was blurry and the only thing I saw was a lot of heads staring at me.
I recognised Cande's face in the crows of faces. Her eyes showed a worried look and she was stroking my hand.
I still felt heavy, like a thousand bricks were hanging inside of my body. "Tini!" I suddenly heard Cande squeal happily.
All the eyes now turned to me as they all noticed I had woken up. I tried getting up and with Cande's support I managed to sit straight.
"How are you feeling? Do you need anything? What happened? Why did you faint? Are you sick? Are you going to die?" Cande rambled out while making me look at her.
A slight laugh escaped from my mouth. It was weak and cracked down quickly. "Relax Cande, I'm fine" I assured her but her worried look didn't vanish.
Just then Mr Johnson came in and asked me how I was feeling. After I talked with the teacher for a while, she finally believed I was okay.
I stood up from the ground, immediately feeling a shoot of pain rage over my ankle. The entire class was watching me while I stumbled to my chair.
Cande supported my body with her arm as I almost lend my full body weight on her.
I sat down on the brownish chair, feeling all the eyes stuck on me. I felt more uncomfortable than ever. Even Jorge was staring at me.
"Please all sit down again, then we can continue the lesson" Mr Johnson ordered, making all the eyes unlock of my still shaking body.
He continued talking where he had started before I passed out. I glanced over to my side where I spotted Cande staring at me with a worried look.
She raised her eyebrow at me, a sign to ask how I was feeling. "I'm fine" I mouthed back.
She decided to believe my fake cover of how I actually was feeling. Her eyes concealed back to the teacher, not wanting to miss the lesson.
I held my focus on the clouds outside as usual. I noticed that glances of others kept gliding over me and it was kinda creepy.
After some time the lesson finally ended and I stood up while I grabbed my bag.
Just before I wanted to walk out with Cande the teacher held me back. "Martina, how are you feeling?" He asked me kindly. I have to admit that this felt kinda weird since Mr Johnson and I have always hated each other.
"I'm fine now" I said in a short response. He looked at me with an unconvinced look.
"Do you know why this happened? Are you going through any stress?" His voice sounded worried through my ears, like he was trying to figure me out.
"No, no, I was just a bit tired and dizzy but it's nothing" I quickly managed to pull out of my mouth while another shoot of pain got up from my ankle.
Without letting Mr Johnson ask any more, I rapidly left the classroom. I catched up with Cande, who was waiting for me, and together we walked to the next class.

"I feel like something is wrong with you?" Cande randomly blurted out while we were cycling home.
I looked over at her, I felt a mix of nervousness and confidence in my body.
"I mean, yesterday you just passed out in the middle of the lesson. That's not normal and definitely doesn't seem like.. well... you" She finalised.
I had to admit that my father's abuesements were getting stronger and harsher which was probably the reason why I passed out from the pain.
I wasn't be able to handle it anymore, but what could I do about it?
There was no way out, no way I could escape. He trapped me and I was the victim.
"I'm fine" I lied right into my best friend's face. "Just slept bad lately, nothing serious" I added, hoping I'd come over convincing.
I didn't know if she truly did but she decided to accept it and believe me. "Okay then" She said and turned her gaze back to the road.
It was the first time ever we both felt uncomfortable around each other and I didn't like it. But I know it was my fault cause I was the one keeping secrets from her.
I finally arrived home and said goodbye to Cande who drove further to her house. She had never been in my house to be honest, I couldn't risk the fact of my dad being there.
I stepped inside my house, crossing my fingers for the fact that my father didn't come home early. It was Thursday which meant he had to work till late.
I nervously hung my jacket over the railing and stepped up the stairs.
I was scared, scared for him to come home. Scared for any more pain or harassment.
I opened my laptop on my desk and started watching Netflix. I felt nervous and anxious but I tried keeping my focus on the show I was watching.
After 5 minutes I heard a knock on the door downstairs, making me jump up from my chair.
My hands started trembling and I ran down the stairs. I felt a light bit of sweat falling from my forehead.
I opened the door and instead of my father I saw the one and only Jorge Blanco standing in front of my door.
My eyes widened and I slapped him out of automatic movement. "What was that for?" He asked me. Even though I was nervous my mouth was able to produce a laugh.
"I just felt like slapping you and by that, why the heck are you here?" I questioned him and for some random reason that slap helped me to fade my nerves away a little.
"Mr Johnson told me to tell you that we have to do a project together" He told me while thinking about how he was going to say it.
I laughed, slightly hoping it was a joke he was making. "You're kidding, right?" I asked him as he shook his head.
"Unfortunately not" He sighed out, a depressed look turned on his face. "The only reason I want to do this right is because Mr Johnson said that he'd call our parents about our 'always detention' situation" He explained while he let out an annoyed sigh.
I rolled my eyes, feeling extremely disordered because of the news I just heard and because of the fact that Jorge was standing in front of my house while my father could come home any minute.
"This sucks asshole" I managed to bring out of my throat. He nodded and pressed a paper in my hands.
"I know impossible, this is the assignment. We're gonna have to do it in our detention hours and at home, read it and try to come up with ideas. I'm going now cause I can't stand seeing your face any longer" He said before turning around and walking back towards his car.
I sighed again and slammed the door shut with a harsh movement. This sucked. And Jorge sucked.
I started reading the paper and felt like this was the most uninterested assignment ever.
I took an apple and something to drink as dinner. My father never made me dinner and I didn't know how to cook. This was the only thing I got.
I stumbled back up the stairs with my ankle still aching. I wish I could just escape this horrifying world one day.
The only thing I'm doing is feeling scared for every second of the day. I felt pain everywhere and not to talk about tiredness.
I fell onto my bed, my clothes still on. I closed my tired brown eyes and fell asleep. I was done, done with everything. I just didn't know how to escape.
