I dunno what I was thinking, leaving my child behind, now I suffer the curse and now I am blind

It was during a fight against blue. It was your average fight, both teams doing their all. Asher always found these fights quite boring. They'd just run away with no end goal. He'd never say so, though. It'd probably make Levi upset. Asher knows how much Levi has been working his ass off for this war, which made Asher proud.

Asher knew thinking of his boyfriend in the middle of a fight, was not the smartest idea. He had to keep his mind occupied, though. He was fighting Felix, who was in the top three strongest of blue. At least, to him he was. He was a skilled fighter, but he was nothing compared to Xavier, however. Xavier was amazing, Asher was nearly jealous over a few things. His thoughts were cut off as he heard Levi's voice. "Fuck!" He cursed and Asher couldn't help but turn his head over to Levi, hoping his boyfriend wasn't hurt.

Levi wasn't hurt, but he had fallen over. Jackson covered Levi, fighting off whoever was attacking Levi in the first place. Asher didn't have the time to focus on anyone else, as all his attention was brought to himself when a sharp pain shot through him. He let out a loud yell and quickly looked down at himself. Felix had cut Asher's side, Asher seeing his clothes being ripped and seeing his skin was cut and bleeding. Unlike the others on red, he didn't wear chainmail under his clothes. He didn't believe he needed it, until now.

With all this anger, guilt and sadness, coming to haunt me forever. I can't wait for the cliff at the end of the river

As much as Asher wanted to stay standing, to remind Blue how badass he was, he couldn't. He dropped down to his knees, falling forward and putting his hands on the grass. As he was falling, he saw Levi. Levi looked horrified. Jay stared at the ground, everything around him going in slow motion. He knew this was it, Felix wasn't Sage. Felix wouldn't hold back. Asher closed his eyes tightly but instead of more pain, he heard loud footsteps and the sound of glass breaking. He opened his eyes and glanced back, his eyes wide.

Levi stood in front of Asher, his grip tight on his sword. Felix had stumbled back, green particle effects coming off of him. Poison. Red always had a secret weapon, a potion to use if something got rough. They started doing so after Theo had passed. This was the first time they'd ever used it. "What the fuck?!" Felix said loudly, clearly feeling pain. Felix gripped onto his sword and glared in their direction, others coming over and surrounding Asher. Asher smiled weakly, knowing his team had his back. Sage grabbed Felix's arm and pulled him away from them, telling him they had to go.

"This isn't fucking over! He'll die next time!" Felix yelled as he pulled away, Levi just gripping tighter onto his sword. "Like hell he fucking will!" Levi yelled back and watched as Blue retreated. The pain hit Asher hard and he let out a soft groan, the attention of Red being brought back to him. Levi quickly kneeled down and cupped the side of Asher's face, Asher gently placing one of his hands over top of Levi's. "You'll survive this, baby. We'll heal you, it's okay.." Levi cooed sweetly as he kissed Asher's forehead, who simply smile. "I.. Good.." Asher mumbled softly, his eyes slowly shutting.

Is this revenge I am seeking, or seeking someone to avenge me? Stuck in my own paradox I wanna set myself free

Asher was brought to Spawn, being admitted into one of the hospitals they had there. Like most things, gossip spread fast. How could someone so strong be struck? Since when did Red carry potions? Why does Felix want Asher dead? The gossip was endless, as it even spread out past Spawn's walls. It even spread all the way to Erelux. It spread like wildfire, as Asher was from there.

"Marigold!" A voice called out as they ran up to the woman, who was in her late forties. The woman had light brown hair and dark brown eyes, her hair up in a high ponytail. She stood at about 5'4. "Hm?" Marigold said, looking up from her garden. "Did you hear the news?!" The younger one asked and Marigold simply looked confused, standing up and patting down her dress. "News of what?" She asked the young one, who was wide eyed. "Asher was badly hurt in a fight." The young one uttered out, Marigold dropping her garden tool she held in her hands. Without saying a word, she turned around and ran off.

Maybe I should chase and find before they'll try to stop it. It won't be long before I'll become a puppet

She ran into her home and up the stairs, pushing her bedroom door open. She opened her closet and began shoving certain clothes into a bag of hers. She had to make sure her only child, her baby, was alive. What did he do to be badly hurt? Was he really engaged in the war? She put a special box in her bag, making sure it was wrapped in clothes. She grabbed her money and ran back down the stairs, stepping out of her house. "Sweetie." A man said as he placed his hands on her shoulders, causing her to look up. "I'm assuming you heard the news. He's alive, honey. It's fine." He assured her and she simply glared at him. "He's your son, too. If you don't care that much as to go and see him, I'll go myself." She whispered and pushed past him, running to the station.

She bought the soonest carriage to Spawn, waiting impatiently for it. It finally left and she stared out the window, nervously twiddling her thumbs. He was alive, but for how much longer? She had to talk to her son. She hasn't since him in nearly a year.

It's been so long, since I last have seen my son. Lost to this monster, to the man behind the slaughter

Levi paced back and forth, not saying a word. Red sat around, no one knowing what to say. Harper slowly stood up and walked up to Levi, patting his shoulder. "He'll survive this. He's strong, I know he will." Harper said gently and Levi stopped, staring at Harper before giving him a tight hug. Simple health potions weren't enough to heal Asher. He was alive, yes, but he was hurt. Levi couldn't help but worry as much as he was. Asher was his everything, Levi couldn't lose his reason to go on.

They were staying in Spawn for the time being, renting out a place to sleep. Well, Red slept there. Levi slept by Asher's side. They were in the waiting room of the hospital, which is where they spent most their time for now. Some would leave during the day, to get fresh air or to get food. Otherwise, they were all there. Levi was on edge, especially over what Felix had yelled at Asher. Bailey stood up and stepped outside, Vincent following him. "It's stressful in there.." Vincent said softly and Bailey nodded. "God.. Asher will be fine, but what Felix said.." Bailey mumbled and Vincent slowly nodded along. "Why.. Why would he want to kill Asher? Over what happened with Taylor? I mean, that's the only reason I can think of.."

Since you've been gone, I've been singing this stupid song. So I could ponder, the sanity of your mother

The carriage arrived and Marigold stepped out, running over the bridge. The carriage dropped them off at the start of it, others following her while walking or others going into the forest. She ran up to the front gates and grabbed her ID, handing it to the person. The person glanced over it and their eyes went wide at her last name. "You.. You're related to Asher-" The guard had began to say, but she cut him off. "Either take me to my son, or tell me where the hell he is." She said sternly, using the mom voice she hadn't used in ages.

She walked up to the hospital, biting her lip at how small it was. This town really was tiny compared to Erelux, hopefully it didn't lack medical attention. She pushed the door open, listening to the little bell as she stepped in. Many eyes turned to her, a lot of faces she didn't recognize. Which, was to be expected in a new town. They all had swords on their belts, which frightened her. "Marigold?" A familiar voice said softly and she looked up, letting out a small gasp and covering her mouth with her small hands. Levi, the boy she considered apart of her family. She ran up to him and hugged him tightly, Levi hugging back. He had a sword as well. "Levi! Where is Asher? Is he alive?!" She quickly asked and Lachlan sighed softly. "He's alive. And he's being treated on right now."

I wish I lived in the present with the gift of my past mistakes. But the future keeps luring in like a pack of snakes

Marigold was introduced to the others quite quickly. It was true, Asher was apart of the war. They were his team. His friends. "Oh, my poor baby.." She whispered and grabbed some tissues from the front desk, wiping his eyes with a sniff. "During a fight, he was hit in the hip? I'm glad it's the hip and not anywhere else.." She mumbled and Levi nodding along with her. "I'm sure he'll be fine.. it's just, hard." Levi mumbled Marigold quickly nodded. "I don't doubt it. You and Asher were always the closest of friends.." She said gently and Leci blushed a bit, looking away. "Yeah.. Um, about that.. We're actually.. more then that, now.." Levi said shyly, not looking at any of the others. As he knew they'd all be trying not to laugh or grin.

Marigold blinked for a few seconds. "Oh! Oh, that's lovely!" Marigold said with a smile, hugging Lachlan again. "I'm glad you two finally got together! I wish Asher had told me, but I guess he was too busy to write." She added as she pulled away, Levi smiling sheepishly at her.

Your sweet little eyes, your little smile, is all I remember. Those fuzzy memories mess with my temper

"Asher is awake. Two people may visit him at a time." The doctor said and it wasn't even a guess on who would see him first. Levi and Marigold walked over to his room with the doctor. They walked into the room and Asher laid in his bed, awake and alert. Lachlan quickly ran up, leaning down and kissing Asher. Asher was caught off guard by this but kissed back. "Hello to you too." He said softly and Levi blushed, holding his hand tightly. Asher noticed his mother and was even more surprised. "Mom?" He asked quietly and she walked up, hugging him softly.

"I know what happened. My poor baby.." She whispered and never wanted to let go of him.

Justification is killing me, but killing isn't justified. What happened to my son, I'm terrified.

Asher took longer then he wished to heal, his mother staying at Red base with them. She never wanted to leave her son again. "I was terrified.." She said softly, sipping some tea she had brewed. "I know, mom. I'm alive, though." Asher said with a soft smile and Marigold slowly nodded. "Yes, and you are decently happy. Naturally, this.. war makes everything harder.." She mumbled softly and Asher slowly nodded, holding onto Levi's hand. "I wish you the best.. I hope you all leave this war alive.." She struggled to say and Asher sighed softly. "I hope so too, mom. But that's not what will happen, I'm afraid.." Asher hadn't forgotten what Felix said to him.

It lingers in my mind and the thought keeps on getting bigger. I'm sorry my sweet baby, I wish I've been there.

News that Asher had healed and went home had spread to Blue base. "He won't stay alive for long.." Felix grunted and Sage felt uncomfortable. It was just the two of them. "Why do you want Asher dead? Do you.. really think he killed Val?" Sage asked him in a soft tone and Felix let out a laugh, shaking his head. "He didn't kill Val. I just want him dead." Felix said, staring right into Sage's eyes. Sage stiffened and didn't know what to say, just staring at Felix in shock. Felix simply turned away, walking off. He grabbed his bow and some arrows, before stepping out of the base.
