I walked over the bridge, smiling as buildings came into sight. I could see spawn, as we called it. It's where everyone lived before.. well, before the war happened. However, people still lived there. The ones who refused to take sides. Everyone called them different names, but Vincent and I called them the pacifists.

They would serve both teams and chat with them. Spawn was strictly a no fighting zone. Spawn was quite far from red base, so I only visited when I could. I walked into town and heard music being played. It drew me towards centre. A jukebox was being played and people danced around. I smiled softly, loving that spawn was always so cheerful. Someone recognized me and turned off the music, making me the main focus now.

"Bailey!" A sweet voice called out as she pushed through some people, latching onto me. "Hello, Ellie." I hummed as I hugged her back. She pulled away and smiled widely at me, her smile dropping once she got a proper look at my face. "Oh my god, what happened?" She asked and gently touched around my eye. "Hm? Oh, you know. The usual getting kidnapped after accidentally attacking blue base and being used as a bribe." I said in a joking tone and she just looked worried, sighing softly.

"Look, Ellie I.. I'm fine, okay? It was scary, hell I'll admit. But I'm alive and fine." I admitted and she nodded slowly, lowering her hand and grabbing one of mine. She squeezed my hand and smiled weakly at him, which I returned to her. She let go after a moment and asked what brought me here. "Well, I like to visit my friends. Plus it's always nice to see what you guys are selling!" I said happily and played the jukebox again.

I walked off as some began to dance again. Ellie followed me and made small talk. I'll admit, I do which I was one of the pacifists at times. They had it the easiest. No one hurt them. They didn't have to have their closest friends killed. I walked into a potions shop with Ellie, seeing Ellie stiffen as we saw Sage talking to the main potion guy. Of course he was here, he amazing in witchcraft. He glanced back and saw me, his face dropping.

I said nothing and glanced over a wall of potions. Sage was, by far, the nicest member of blue team. He did try to calm me down a bit after that panic attack, after all. He still cared about red team, I knew it. Sage awkwardly walked over to where I was and grabbed a potion off of the top shelf. "Hey, grab me that one, please?" I asked and pointed to one. He was taller then me, so.

He nodded and grabbed it, handing me it. "Thanks, Sage." I said with a small smile and he nodded, walking back to the counter. I walked to another counter and bought the potion, Sage and I finishing at the same time. I thought of something stupid, and I had to go through with it. "Hey, Sage. Want to go sit by the fountain with me?" I asked and everyone in the shop seemed to freeze, Sage included. Ellie looked at me with wide eyes. "Uh, sure. I have time to spare." He said and I nodded, telling Ellie I'd catch up later. She seemed confused but said it was fine.

I nodded and walked over to the fountain with Sage. People seemed baffled that we were around each other. We sat down on the edge of the fountain and were quiet for a brief moment. "Thanks for trying to calm me down that day.. I really needed that." I started out and Sage nodded at me, looking at the water in the fountain. "I could tell. I'm sorry that happened.. I knew you weren't lying, you aren't an idiot. Why would you attack the base so unarmed.." Sage mumbled and I nodded quickly, glad he understood and agreed with me.

"Thanks for understanding. So, how has life been over at blue?" I asked, not wanting this conversation to be awkward at all. "It's fine, really.. We haven't been doing much. Just practising, you know.. My spells are getting better." Sage said and I smiled softly, nodding along. "I'm amazed at how good you are at it." I admitted and Sage blushed softly, nudging my side. "Oh hush, I'm just starting out!" This was nice, it felt just like old times. Hanging out and cracking jokes. We sat in a comfortable silence for a moment. "Sorry to get serious, but.. has red team talked about who they think killed Val?" Sage asked quietly and I bit my lip, nodding slowly.

"Yeah.. but it's mostly just blind guesses, you know?" I said softly and Rob nodded a bit. "Blue team guesses three different people.. Either Jackson, you, or Asher.." I was surprised to hear that they thought I killed Val, as I was the closest to him and I was the one who found him. "I don't think you killed him." Sage added quietly and I smiled a bit, nodding and patting Sage's shoulder. "Right back at you." I said and he glanced at me, smiling widely.

"They guess Asher because he killed Taylor, but I don't know.. in Asher's defence, Taylor was aiming to kill Levi.. Asher just saved his leader." Sage said softly, staring back at the water. "Yeah.. I know you would do the same." I countered and Sage seemed to stiffen, getting all awkward and tense. "Yeah. Um, Asher and Levi sure are close.." He said quickly, as if he was changing the subject. I didn't question it and nodded a bit. "Yeah, they are. Vincent and I wonder how close they really are, if you know what I mean." I said with a soft chuckle, Sage looking at me and raising an eyebrow. "Really? Isn't Lachlan straight?" Sage asked me and I simply shrugged.

"No clue. However, Vincent swears on his life they're secretly dating. He says the way they look at each other cannot simply just be a friendship, or whatever." I said with a grin and Sage let out a quiet laugh. "Leave it to him to think that." He said between his short laughs and I nodded in agreement, adjusting the way I was sitting. "Any luck in the love department for you?" I asked him and he blushed a bit, biting his lip ever so slightly. "It's alright. Xavier and I are close, but I don't know if 'love close' is it." He admitted and I hit his shoulder gently. "You're cute, I'm sure you can get anyone." I teased and he shot me a playful glare, laughing softly.

We talked for quite a while longer, until we both decided to leave. We walked over the bridge together, cracking jokes just like old times. "One last thing.. Um, this is quite serious.." Sage said as we reached the end of the bridge, looking nervous. I paused and stared at him, not sure what he had to say. "I.. I think the killer is on blue team." He said in a feeble voice and I knew I wasn't expecting what he had to say, but that was the least likely thing I would've thought. "What?" I asked slowly and Sage glanced around, as if to make sure others weren't around. "You heard me!" He whispered yelled at me, while I stood in shock.

"I've thought so from the start! I could be wrong but hear me out. I went to blue team to figure it out.." He explained and I slowly nodded, still baffled that he was telling me this. "Tell no one about this, it'll make my mission harder.." He mumbled and I just nodded, not even sure what I should say to him. "Good luck." I finally managed to say and he sighed softly, nodding at me before turning around. He began to walk away while I just watched him. "Thanks. I'm going to need it." He replied as he disappeared, leaving me standing there in shock.
