Kit's POV

"Preeya, what - ?"

She smashed her mouth to mine, cutting me in, the kiss was awkward though it was nothing salacious. It was warm, and soft. It was almost like a caress.

Before I could push her myself, Preeya pulled herself away, ending the kiss and leaving me breathless. I was utterly blown away that my reflex slowed. "I miss you, Kit."

"What did you just do? "

"I'm fine, thank you. It's kind of you to ask. " Preeya, rolling her eyes.

Slowly coming back to my senses, "What are you doing here? " I pried.

"Of course, visiting you. "

Howling, "Come on, "

"Don't you miss your girlfriend? "

On the background, Ice was taken aback but hid it by clearing his throat.  Opting to deal with him later because Preeya was more of a trouble.

I raised an eyebrow as if telling her I wasn't buying it. She smiled and heave a deep sigh, "Well, I'm transferring here. "

"In the middle of the school year? Really? "

"Why do I feel like I'm not welcome? "

"It's not that—"

"But you make me feel like it, " she cut in, pouting.

A smug look made its way to my face, not bothering to conceal it. I knew Preeya would take no offense, it'll take a lot to do so.

"Come on, aren't you happy to see me?"

I inwardly sighed and forced a smile, "Of course, I am. "

Preeya is too beautiful. Before Ming, she was my definition of perfect. I don't want to admit but I felt threatened. Her aura alone screams her personality.

Giving me another peck on the lips, catching me off-guard again, I couldn't wrap my head around how casually she could do that.

"Preeya, stop doing that. "

"Doing what? "

"Kissing me, " my face heated up for I knew Ice was there witnessing all of it.

"I see,  you're still shy. I get it. " she drew a thin smile on her lips. "Are you a friend of my Kitty here? " she turned her attention to Ice, where in my observation was still in shock.

"Yes, " Ice seemed to have gathered his thoughts in no time.

"I'm Preeya, you are? " she laid her hands out for Ice to take.

"Ice, "

"Cool name, "

Ice lips perked up, "So I was told, "

They shook their hands while I pulled myself together. The library suddenly felt cramped and I was being suffocated.

"Anyways, I gotta go. Let's grab some coffee next time, Kit. " docking down to kiss me again, only this time I was able to tilt my head so her lips landed on my cheek.

She rolled her eyes and sashayed her way towards the exit.

"Wow, "

"You saw nothing, you heard nothing, and you say nothing,  clear? " still staring at the hall where Preeya trailed out.

"If you treat me lunch then I'll stay mute about it. "

I rolled my eyes and nodded. He was on his feet in no time pulling me up after. I went along with him for my mind was too preoccupied to even complain.

"She's pretty, " Ice whispered, as we walked towards the door after returning the books to the shelf.

"Yes, she is. " A pretty disaster, I continued on my mind.

"Say Forth, what's the advantage of being sent abroad as an engineering student?"

The gang was complete with their plus one excluding me of course. It used to be always just us three but now the gang grew as one by one got ourselves a boyfriend.

Forth next to Beam, away from Yo which Pha deliberately set the seating arrangement. I'd never understand his jealousy towards Forth until now who's obviously heads over heels with Beam. The denial king —Beam— was silently pleased by it. Of course, he wasn't going to admit it, over his dead body.

Love and what it can do to people.

"A lot actually, for one, you get to have an international education. In our country, it matters because it means more opportunities after graduation. " he paused for a while, giving Beam all the meat on his plate.

I was all ears, despite just glancing at him from time to time. "I see, "

"And if you're chosen, the professors trust you enough to carry the school reputation and all that shit."

I hummed.

"Moreover, the possibility of being absorbed by the company overseas during internship if they like your performance is high."

"What kind of performance?" Beam maliciously asked.

Going along, Forth said. "Kissing their asses, like literally. "

"Really? Then you should volunteer." Beam challenged.

"No way, the only ass I want to kiss is yours. " Forth without filter goaded. Beam elbowed him.

Pha and Yo failed to conceal their laughter, opted to go all out instead. Beam's face heat up and ears reddened.

"That's my man, Forth. " Yo stuck his fist up in the air for a fist bump with Forth, but Pha abruptly withdrew it, glaring at Yo.

"My man? " Pha, tone laden with jealousy and rage. I felt sorry for Yo cause he just dug himself a grave —deeper than six feet. I saw him regretted being tactless. "Last time I checked, I am your man. "

"Pha, you're not my man, you're my lover." Yo, hoped against hope Pha will make do with it. "I love you. "

Pha like the fool in love as he is, softened —rounded his arms around Yo's shoulders. "I don't want to be just your lover, I want to be your everything. You shouldn't have any roles open for others to fill. "

Beam and I acted to vomit, after throwing dagger stares to Pha. It was so cringy, it made them want to puke. His boyfriend, on the other hand, was beet red.

Ming, where are you?

I suddenly missed Ming with all the cheesiness of the couples around me.

"I second the motion, " I whipped my head around, heart skipped a beat as I felt a familiar warmth that enveloped me from the back. "Also, my Kit is my Kit. That being said, nobody is allowed to look, to touch, to stare, to wink, to hold, to compliment my Kitty. It's my job, I don't plan on resigning ever. "

I tried to wiggle as it was my turn to be flustered by it all.
