Chapter 22

Sam’s POV

The room was white. It had a bed and nothing else. I had been in here for almost three days. Michael hadn’t come but he probably wasn’t allowed out. The room had glass around the outside. There were specialists studying me and what did. I could hear them and they could hear me.

Luci came lots. It was nice to have company but she wasn’t allowed to stay for long. I spent most of the days singing and exercising if I can and sleeping as it is good waste of time. I daydream a lot too. If I was anyone else I would have been released because I wasn’t doing anything strange but I knew that on my form it says that I can’t be released unless I was signed off by fifty different specialists.

Michael came on the fourth day. Luci couldn’t come as much as she had to be at school. I would rather be there than here.

‘Are you ok?’ he asked.

‘I’m tired of being in this fucking place’ I said.

‘Why is she here?’ Jake asked.

‘She has extreme mental trauma that is the most severe I have seen’ he says. I exactly the same thing at the same time.

‘How is she doing that?’ he asks.

‘Shouldn’t you have that on your records?’ Michael smirks. He wasn’t like that but when he was talking about Sam he got defensive.

‘We don’t have anything about mind reading’ the specialist said who is called Dr Williams.

‘She has a photographic memory’ Michael snaps.

‘How did she read the file, it is confidential?’ Dr Williams asks.

‘Would you shut up for one minute?’ Luci asked. Dr Williams just gasped.

‘Call Dr Smith’ I told Michael in Greek. I prefer using Greek over French because less people know it.

‘You have to leave’ Dr Williams said.

‘I love you’ Michael says in Greek.

‘I love you’ I answer in Greek.

‘You guys are adorable’ Luci smiles.

‘Why?’ Jake asks.

‘Sam has been teaching me Greek. I know the first word is I and then last one is you. I can guess what the last word is’ Luci smiles as they leave.

I am back to being alone. I hope Dr Smith can come as he could get me out. I can hear the specialists talking about me. They are discussing what I am doing and how I am showing signs of different illnesses.
