Chapter 29
I glared at Riley, my hands balling into fists. “What do you want?”
“Oh, I just wanted to see the girl I love.” He gave me a sweet smile.
I rolled my eyes. “Wow. You never loved me. You’re only saying that because I have Niall now.”
“I really do love you, Kora. Why can’t you see that? You should go home to New York and go to Joffrey’s and make amends with your mum and I’ll go with you. Then we can be together again.”
I raised my brow at him. “You realize you just made it a hundred percent obvious that my mother hired you, right?”
“Your mother didn’t hire me, love.” He stepped closer to me. “I came here because I want you back. I’m sorry I ever lost you. Don’t you remember all the good times we had?”
I tapped my chin in thought for a minute. “Nope. All I remember is you being a jerk and me being too stupid to realize it at the time. So, yeah, bye.” I turned to go back to the dressing room but he grabbed my arm and forced me to turn around. My glare returned. “Riley, if you do not let me go, so help me, I’m going to-”
“Going to do what, Kora? Call your little boyfriend to come rescue you?”
“She doesn’t have to.”
I glanced behind me to see Niall standing there with his arms cross over his chest.
Niall’s P.O.V.
I frowned as Kora walked out the door. Who could possibly be here to talk to her? She didn’t know anyone here. I sat down my water bottle and told the lads I’d be right back. They nodded as I walked out the door.
I went the way I figured Paul had taken Red: back to the auditorium. I pushed open the stage door just in time to see Kora’s ex Riley grab her arm and yank her back around to face him.
“Riley, if you don’t let me go, so help me, I’m going to-”
“Going to do what, Kora? Call your little boyfriend to come rescue you?”
“She doesn’t have to.” I stated, crossing my arms over my chest.
Kora glanced at me, her eyes lighting up.
“Seriously? Are you like a little puppy or something that has to follow Kora everywhere?” Riley glared at me, shoving Kora away.
I grabbed her around the waist and pushed her behind me. “No, I just knew there shouldn’t be anyone here to see her.”
“I would’ve been okay,” Red said to me, taking my right hand in both of hers.
I laughed. “Oh, I have no doubt about that. I just don’t want you to have to handle something like this yourself.”
“Something like what? I was just coming to get my girl back.” Riley stepped forward.
“Your girl?” I scoffed. “She hasn’t been yours for quite some time now.”
