Days of Old, Tomorrow Is New

Chapter 4

"Watch where you're going newbie."A thick yet monotonous voice said to me. I look at the person who bumped into me with annoyance.

The person is a guy who looked to be around my age. He was an inch or two above my height which is five feet and six inches. His undercut hair-do looked like it was recently dyed to look blonde. His eyes were a blue color, but looked like he was wearing contacts.

Yet, he wore a white T-shirt on with a gray hoodie sweatshirt over it. The guy was wearing light blue jeans and a pair of black Nike sneakers.

A few people that were left in the hallway stared with silence. Some had the expression of curiosity and others had the look of disgust. I could figure out the look of disgust was towards me for being the newbie.

"Maybe you should be the one to watch where you're walking" I respond back to the guy with an annoyed expression on my face. My voice was a bit monotone as to mock him.

I wasn't going to let the guy have the satisfaction of getting the last laugh. What he said next kinda felt like one of those cliche movie or story moments.

"Do you even know who I am?" He said to me in a taut voice. He looked mostly annoyed as I have no clue who he is.

"Nope. Why? Should I know you or are you a nobody?" I say confidently with a crafty smirk. Oh how the look on his face brightened up my day.

His face looked like the World's Most Red Tomato, except with the tomato having the emotion of rage and probably embarrassment.

He looked like he was about to say something when a cough sounded a few steps away from us.

"Why aren't you both in class?" A voice questioned to us with authority.

Oh boy! A sorta cliffhanger I suppose? If there's something that I need to improve with the story, let me know by making a comment.

Other than that, Christmas is just around the corner which I will be making another book. I won't say what it's about yet as that would spoil the surprise.
