Chapter 6

After detention or what I call purgatory, I ended up walking home. Which I honestly didn't mind at all. Except that it was raining outside, soaking me to the bone.

I probably looked like a soaked, walking zombie to people who drove past me down the road. I hated getting wet from the rain, but I like listening to the raindrops fall.

"Just great. First day of school and ended up in trouble. Here I am walking home alone in the rain. It could be worse" I uttered, letting out a small sigh.

I could have ended up getting a ride from Eric or 'dumbass' as I call him. He offered to drive me home yet I denied him.

There are three reasons why I denied him.

First reason is cause I don't know him that well to be on a 'friend' level. It's my first day at a new school that's full of strangers. I will not be calling that guy my friend for a long time. Hopefully he doesn't call me as his friend either.

Secondly, I don't know what the hell nor where he would actually take me if I got in his car. He could do something to me or take me someplace that I know nothing about. He could be the type of guy who might've or could've tried taking advantage of me or something during detention.

The third reason is that he's the jerk who got me into trouble. I'd rather avoid him for three months. Maybe avoid him a whole year than to get into trouble again because of him.

Time flew by till I was standing in front of the new home. I hesitated on going inside from the anticipation of facing my mother. "Going into the belly of the beast" I utter, before trying to quietly walk inside.

"Alicia!!!" I hear my mother yell just as I made it to the third step on the stairs going up.

"Well shit."

Sorry, I have been quite busy the past few days with life. I'm back and will be working on the new story and this story. I also would appreciate if those who have suggestions on how I can improve to comment.
