"My brother loves you you know!?!"  Llesynia hears Trina Echolls say from behind her while she was at the market doing some shopping before school the next day she turns around and replies with a sarcastic bite in her tone "yeah I know!.... damn Trin you really ARE out of the loop aren't you!?!.... that's "old news"!.... and the WHOLE SCHOOL knows!.... has known ever since it first happened when we were twelve.... but with him being an Echolls and me being "the help" form the "wrong side" of Neptune he has to be "really careful" about who he has slung under his arm.... sticking with your own is always your best bet huh!?!"  Trina takes out a recorder "not according to this"  she says then she presses the play button and Syn hears a conversation Trina heard happen between Veronica and Logan last night "do you think Lily loved Weevil?"  Logan asks "I don't know um, Lilly never mentioned anything to me about Weevil I was wondering when you were gonna ask me about that"  Veronica replies "yeah, well I don't know when he's caught in her bedroom, you know, I guess you gotta think...."  Logan says "you're handling it a lot better than I thought you would"  Veronica replies "I loved Lily and Lily loved guys"  Logan says "Logan, you know that she...."  Veronica replies Logan interrupts "you know, she used to say that her...."  he clears his throat then continues "her parents worshiped Duncan and tolerated her and if she couldn't please 'em, she was gonna go out of her way to piss 'em off Weevil must have been perfect for that"  Veronica replies "I know Lily loved you"  Logan says "yeah, just not like I loved her it's okay no, uh, you know, it kinda let's me off the hook, you know, I-I don't know, I don't have to feel guilty anymore"  Veronica asks "feel guilty about what?"  Logan replies "moving on..... she's right...."  he lets out a short soft chuckle as he says "she's ALWAYS right!.... and I'm ready!"  Trina stops the tape with a smug look on her face "Trin.... the boy I was dating for the past couple of months.... before your step mother died and you came back into your family's life to once again use their title to your advantage just moved away YESTERDAY!"  Syn replies then she looks over at Logan who was trying to play it casual as he pretends to look through the produce in front of him while he listens in on the conversation and their eyes lock as she continues "have him give me a month to "get over" this "break up".... that never actually happened as "normal" breakups do.... and if he still feels that way.... we'll see what happens then...."  Logan smiles and the smile that grew on his face disappears when he hears her say "if he can't wait then he's not worth it!"  Syn walks away from Trina and Trina looks over at her half brother and sees that he was eavesdropping on the conversation and she storms off in a huff when she figures out just who Syn was staring at.... a few weeks later Logan sees Veronica and Syn working together under the hood of Veronica's car trying to get it to start again as the traffic behind them starts going crazy honking their horns impatiently "at least their honking for an actual reason and not just "because they're cool and want our attention"!"  Syn says with a sarcastic tease in her tone Veronica chuckles then they hear Dick say "uh-oh, someone's got her eye on that Miss White Trash title"  and his brother add "yeah, you know you got a solid effort in the talent competition, but I'd like to see that car up on some cinder blocks"  Logan replies with a smile "guys, come on, huh"  Syn looks up at Veronica with a "can you believe this!?!" expression on her face as she rolls her eyes Veronica holds back a chuckle as she take the opportunity to save Logan from his own embarrassment though Dick and Beaver probably thought he was trying to save THEM from SYN's wrath or save Syn herself from an embarrassment that would have no effect on her whatsoever since Syn was the one Logan was staring at with that special sparkle in his eyes as he smiles "I know guys, come on, the talent is making a grilled cheese sandwich on the engine block"  Veronica says as she walks over to Logan and takes the knife out of his hand and says as she walks back to her car "guys, come on, you can't put your car up on blocks in the yard if you don't have a yard"  as Veronica uses Logan's knife to cut the tube then attaches it to the engine Syn walks around her ready to turn the key when Veronica gives her the signal Dick, Cassidy and Logan stare at her ass as she bends down and holds the key within her forefinger and thumb as Veronica says "you know, I think I can do both sides of this little act now"  Veronica nods at her and Vendetta turns the key then they hear the car rumble to life and Veronica says as she tosses Logan his knife back and he catches it with a smirk "so, how 'bout next time, you don't bother I got it covered"  Syn straightens and looks over at Cassidy "you know Cass I think you try too hard!.... though why you would try to impress the Dick who treats you like a worthless ass that's lower than dirt I have no idea!.... brother or not he has no right to do that!"  Cassidy looks at her with wide eyed surprise as she and Veronica climb into Veronica's car and drive away to go find a parking spot the three boys watch them depart and the smile that was on Logan's face has yet to disappear as he watches his now secret friend and hopefully possibly soon to be girlfriend drive away.....
