Trevor's POV.
"Jesus! I like you Scarlett, a lot!" I blurted it out.
We were standing looking at each other, I was nervous as hell. I wanted her to like me back but she was not reacting at all. I looked at her beautiful, shocked face and then turned around to walk.
It caused me so much pain when she said that Clarissa could have me. I wanted her to fight for me. It wasn't like we were dating, but I just had an expectation.
"Trevor, I-I li..."
BOOM!!
Before she could finish, she was crushed by a Red Audi. My whole world stopped, everything was spinning around me and I did not move.
Roxie and some guy came out of the restaurant, frantically running. Roxie was on the verge of tears. She screamed my name and snapped me back to reality.
I removed my phone from my back pocket with my shaky hands and called 911. They said the ambulance will arrive shortly. I rushed to Scarlett who was unconscious in her own blood.
My ears were filled with the sirens of the ambulance. They loaded Scarlett's body and Roxie and the guy left in the ambulance. I went to the Audi and saw the driver had already left the scene. I searched the car for any break fails or damage, but it seemed perfectly alright. This made me come to two conclusions. Either the driver was drunk or this was done on purpose.
I was driving furiously towards my home when I thought that someone did it on purpose because no one actually day drinks. I burst opened the door and started breaking anything that came in my path.
Vincent rushed downstairs and tried calming me down, not having control on my anger, I punched him but he still held me tightly and calmed me down.
I finally stopped shaking but my breathing was still heavy. He left me and I dropped myself on the floor. Vince sat down next to me, patting me in comfort.
"You okay, brother?" Vincent asked with a worried tone.
"Scarlett had an accident today, she is at the hospital right now." I replied, trying to contain myself from crying.
My parents heard it and came near the door where I was crying.
"Honey, I'm so sorry." My mom crouched next to me but I just ignored her. "I was really looking forward to know her tonight at dinner."
"That's what you care about right now? Your stupid dinner? She is in the hospital, mother! Probably fighting for her life." I screamed. "Somebody did this to her! ON PURPOSE. So please, just don't show me your face till I can control myself." I practically screamed at her.
"Do you know who did it?" He questioned.
"No idea." I replied, standing on my wobbly feet. "Do me a favor, have someone investigate the car and get to the bottom of it. Please!"
"Of course, anything you need." He politely smiled.
I went upstairs and got some fresh clothes for Scarlett and left to go to the hospital. I reached the emergency room. Roxie was crying in a corner, curled in a ball.
I reached to her and she hugged me tightly, she let all her tears out and I comforted her by gently caressing her hair. After a good 15 minutes, I asked her to wash her face. I stood up and looked around for someone to answer my questions.
I saw the guy who went in the ambulance and walked towards him, he was also trying to hold back his tears.
"How is she? Did the doctor say anything?" I ask him.
