Gavin POV

"You are an idiot." Someone mumbled causing me to wake up.

I turned my head to see Geoff standing in the doorway with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

"You are such an idiot." He repeated.

I rolled over and sat on the edge of my bed looking at him.

"What?"

"I was walking by to check on Millie when I decided to check on you. Turns out you like to smile in your sleep."

"I do not."

He laughed,"I've been here for a good twenty minutes and you've smiled at least four times."

I started rubbing my eyes to try and adjust to the sudden change of light while he continued.

"It makes me wonder what you dream of."

"Pitch black darkness." I said standing up to stretch.

"Mmmm hmm. Sure you do." He said walking away toward Millie's room.

Today was the day I could finally get answers to all my questions. Today's the day I don't have to worry about anything.

Today's the day I get to talk to Michael and it couldn't be any better.

Upon previous conversations, the only people in the office today were myself, Michael and Lindsey. Of course farther in the day everyone else would arrive but that wasn't until noon.

I looked at the clock next to me and it read 8:32.

Normally I wouldn't be up early even though 8 isn't quite early, but Geoff did give me permission to be in the office without him.

And I don't want to skip the opportunity, so I'm up.

After a quick shower Geoff and I were on the way to the office so he could drop me off.

He claimed I needed to get my license and to be honest I have no problem with getting it.

I can drive, but I just failed in previous attempts... Which I was okay with.

"The guys should be here about noon..ish."

"Yeah yeah. You sound like my father." I said to Geoff as I hopped out of the car.

"Well you live with me for fucks sake."

I laughed and shut the door,"Bye dad."

He shook his head,"I'd be embarrassed to say 'bye son' so bye Gavin."

I watched as he drove away until he turned out of the parking lot.

I was happy, I don't know why but I was.

I guess I was happy to get answers and I felt myself smile even though no one was around.

The parking lot didn't have a lot of cars in it, so not a lot of people were here already.

My feet carried me through the office doors and not many people were here yet. It was still morning and I was especially surprised that Barbara wasn't even here.

I peeked around the corner to see no one in sight but I knew Michael was here. His car was one of few in the parking lot.

Still walking, my feet brought me to the Achievement Hunter office and I sighed staring at it.

Hopefully Michael wouldn't be mad at me. I was the only one here and if he's mad it won't end well.

I opened the door to reveal a lonesome Michael without Lindsey.
