Wow! The 2nd fic is finally completed! Hahahaha!
Hello, Mi-chan is here again and today I will talk about 'Broken Hope'. In comparison to 'Jewel', 'Broken Hope' has a darker and mature theme (the suicide attempts, the raunchy sex scenes with Kasamatsu-senpai...)
Ah!
Anyway I enjoyed writing this fic and this is probably the most problematic fic for me because it had me visiting Writer's block quite a few times... -_-
Here are the things I'd like to share with you about!
The OC, Haruka Kanata: The suicidal OC with a tragic past, Kanata is beautiful and smiles for the camera like a pro. In real life though, she's hurt by the past and the present and she cannot see a future where she can be happy so she tried to kill herself, giving herself an easy way out. From Kasamatsu's past, she starts off as a character with lots of smiles but she gradually change into someone he can't recognize anymore until she started to see there are things worth living for.
I see her as someone whose past changed the real person she was. I wanted to create an OC who is touched by kindness and decided to choose to live through the sad times again. Suicide is never an answer and Kasamatsu proved it to her :)
The OC is a model: You can't call her a mary-sue for that. Kanata may be naturally beautiful but that is only an appearance. On the inside, it doesn't reflect her outside.
Kasamatsu and Kanata's naughty scenes: Originally, I wasn't going to write any lemons! I am not that good at writing them! Ahahaha and I have only written 2 lemons out of 19 chapters and I got myself an R-rating now. I'm literally locked to keep 'Broken Hope' at R... Seriously... If you ask me, I think Wattpad needs to add a system where we can rate chapters individually.
Kanata's basketball: Originally, I was going to make a story in which the OC joins Kaijou and become their 2nd ace. The idea of weaving the way to the goal seemed so cool to me, I dunno why. I thought the idea was good but then I thought 'Ahh... but Aomine can definitely beat her and Kagami can literally destroy her' so the idea was dropped. I also like how she is able to do a somersault to throw the ball into the goal! :D I saw a kid do it on YouTube and I just had to add it in for Kanata! XD
The ending: I decided to leave it as an ending where you are free to imagine how it all play out. Their promise to stay together and 4 years later, bam! The ring! This story is about how Kasamatsu manages to save the same girl who saved him. He completed that, that's the end of the story... He just didn't expect himself to fall in love with this girl xD
