Surprisingly, the well-known fast food restaurant wasn't very far from Ravens apartment block. It was about a 20 minute walk. It was fairly chilly outside despite the fact that it was spring.

I regretted keeping on my night shorts because my legs were cold. Very. Cold.

As we entered McDonalds, I sighed in contentment at the satisfying temperature. We sat at a booth near the window.

The place was obviously not very busy as it was indeed midnight but it had a fair amount of customers in it.

When we were placing our orders to the slightly scrawny guy, I burst out laughing when I ordered a Big Mac but Raven ordered a happy meal!

''Why?'' I asked amused referring to the kids meal that lay in front of him.

He looked down at it totally ignoring me and dived in to retrieve the children's toy placed in the box. His eyes twinkled with an excited glint but slightly dimmed when he realised what it was. All the while I didn't even glance at the toy, only his hilarious expressions. He grumpily threw it on the table and with a frown commented, ''I've already got this one.''

Oh Raven. He surely is just as much of a child outside than he is inside though I'm not complaining he chooses to let out his inner child. It's cute.

''Why, thank you!'' He exclaimed smugly.

''What?'' I asked, confused.

He rolled his eyes, ''when someone compliments you,'' he pronounced each word carefully and slowly ''it's polite to respond with a 'thank you'.'' He finished off.

Oh.

I flushed realising I had said out loud he was cute. My bad.

''Whatever,'' I mumbled.

He was staring at my Big Mac. I could just feel it. Before he could comment I quickly said ''flying across the world creates an appetite, okay?!''

Stupid him and his pretty eyes. Pretty judgemental eyes.

We ate our meals in silence and... Who am I kidding! Silence isn't how we roll.

We talked throughout our entire meal laughing with our mouths full and just being plain... Us. I think we grossed out the people closest to us because after some disgusted looks were thrown in our direction, they got up and left pretty much leaving their food.

Me and raven had eaten all our food about a half hour ago. These people are leaving their food to go to waste though. My, my, what bad people would Raven and I be if we just left all that food I eaten.

As if reading my thoughts, Raven gave me a menacing look and I attempted to do it right back but I say attempt because he just chuckled and put his big ass hand on my face to make me stop.

He got up and casually walked over to the table picking up a half eaten pack of fries and came back to our table. His nonchalant manner was surprising.

I got up too aiming for the McFlurry. One of the workers glanced in my direction and I cowered back into my seat.

Ugh, no fair! Raven gets fries but I don't get Ice-cream! He got up again, going to the table as if he was on an afternoon stroll and picked up a cheeseburger, winking at me.

That's it! I want my ice-cream! Well, not my ice-cream but ice-cream nonetheless.

I got up and got the McFlurry looking down the entire time. Eyes for the gold, eyes for the gold Darina I chanted to myself in a... Motivative manner.

I picked up the 'prize' and jogged back to our booth with a grin on my face.

Woah, that was like Grand Theft Ice-Cream! Not to mention it was almost full! Jackpot.

Raven started snickering at my excited behaviour so I kicked his shin from under the table ''shut up!''

Once we had finished the food, I was about to ask whether his Mum would care or not that we were out at 2am but he was at the cash register before I could.

With his Happy Meal toy in his hand.

I got up and followed him sitting at the nearest table wondering what he was doing. ''Hello, yeah, excuse me but I got this toy but I've already got this one at home so could I by any chance get another one?'' He asked in a sweet voice to the woman.

''I'm sorry Sir, but what we give you is what you get.'' She said in a bored tone as if grown boys whine about this all the time.

''What?'' He gasped. ''I demand to speak to the manager!''

''Sir, I don't think there is any need for tha-'' the woman tried to compromise but was cut off.

''Manager.'' He stated in a firm tone. What is he doing?!

The woman now wide-eyed rushed off.

''Raven!'' I hissed in a low tone.

He looked at me and mouthed ''this is an outrage!''

I shook my head but let the guy continue making a commotion.

''I'm the manager, how may I help you.'' A man asked in a gruff voice, looking between the woman and Raven. ''Well?''

''I've been informed I can't-'' from then on I just stopped listening. I went back to where we sat before gathering our.. Oh yeah, we didn't bring anything.

I waited for a good 5 minutes until I regained vision of Raven who was holding a new you in his and smiling happily with a bounce in his short walk. You've got to be kidding me.

We left straight after and once we were back in his room, I thumped him on the head. ''Idiot,'' I mumbled though even I'll admit my lips were twitching upwards. I was totally holding back a smile. But he's still an idiot.

''That's what I am!'' He smirked victoriously.
