Lance has had special abilities since he was born on earth.
They had noticed since birth, when his umbilical cord was cut off and the hole healed in a mere minute. Also the fact that he wasn't crying when he was born either, or how he had his eyes wide open and was goo goo gahing all over the place.
And he grew up that way too. He never cried when he was hurt, he barely ever cried at all. Actually the first time he cried was when he joined the garrison.
He was yelled at by one of the cargo pilot trainers and called useless. At that moment lance was standing there with a stern look on his face, as if he didn't even hear him.
But fast forward to later and lance was punching holes in the mirror in the dorm bathroom crying.
He cried only because he hated himself. Lance felt as if he was heartless, how he couldn't feel pain.
And that was the first day he started to self harm.
It depended on how he felt, but it was either cut or something two times worse.
And he just wanted to have some time to himself outside the Garrison that day. But he couldn't sound suspicious so of course hunk and pidge ended up coming with.
He was going to ditch them at some point until that whole dilemma came up.
And suddenly, in mere hours he was suddenly the pilot of a huge blue lion with two aliens and a guy missing an arm.
Why was he here? I mean, he is so heartless to the universe so why is he now part of a team that cares?
Lance questions a lot more than that.
Especially why he is still alive.
When in voltron he would stay away from the others whenever he could.
And he didn't care about being suspicious anymore.
He would refuse to eat with them, relax with them, he would only see them when necessary like when training.
And on a bland day in the ship..
Lance was training by himself at the training deck. He had been injured, a shot to the abdomen, but he didn't care right now.
It didn't hurt, and it would heal within minutes, so why stop training?
Then Keith came in and just HAD to ruin it.
Keith was watching lance, lance not noticing until..
"LANCE!!!"-Keith
Lance jumped, and as he did he got shot approximately five more time throughout his abdomen.
Oh how that would've hurt if he could even FEEL pain.
"End training sequence!"-Lance
Lance turned towards Keith with an angry expression, blood spilling onto the floor from his wounds.
"Really Keith! C'mon man!"-Lance
Lance didn't even notice the wounds he had until Keith just had to..
"Just wanted to bother you! But...LANCE OH GOD!"-Keith
"What!?! Is there a bot!?! Why the hell are you yelling like that!?!"-Lance
Lance looked around him but saw nothing. Just then the team walked in.
"LANCE! We need a pod coran!"-Keith
"Why the hell are you!!...."-Lance
Lance looked down at where the team was looking with their horrified faces.
