The team was just doing a routine fly around, above a beautiful planet that was uninhabited.
And it was nice.
For a while Lance has thought of abandoning the team. Abandoning the war.
Abandoning his body.
Cause it's better to be hated then love for someone your not.
But lance has lived that way for too long. And he believed no one even loved him anymore.
He didn't understand.
When Lance had to leave blue to go to red.
He didn't understand.
He quickly forgot who he was.
He quickly changed.
Lance began to be more irritable, but he wouldn't start fights.
He began to be just like Keith.
He didn't know who he was anymore.
He changed because he was reds paladin now, he had to be just like Keith.
So he trained all night, he would try his best to stay away from the team no matter what.
He wouldn't eat to much.
He stopped doing his skin routine.
He would spend a lot of time in red.
He just stopped being lance.
And he definitely wasn't Keith.
So who was he?
"Good job lance! Nice flying! Hard to believe your even Lance anymore."-Shiro
Lance didn't even have an expression anymore. He didn't fake smile, he didn't laugh, he had no reason too.
"Lance c'mon, stop being a bum."-Pidge
Lance had practically brainwashed himself to turning into what he thought was best.
A robot.
Lance thought of himself as a robot now.
Just doing his job.
And that was good, right?
"Lance just take the compliment idiot."-Keith
The holograms came up, and the team was looking at lance, everyone kind of concerned, well, except for Keith and lance.
But Lance didn't care. He was focused on getting better.
"Lance!"-Shiro
Lance didn't even become startled, he just slowly and blandly looked over to the camera.
"I can't take the compliment. Not until i'm better. No small cargo pilot deserves such a compliment."-Lance
The team just looked at him surprised.
"Why you in such a bad mood buddy?"-Hunk
"I don't have any moods. Shut up and let me train. That's what we are here for, correct?"-Lance
"Lance don't be rude to Hunk, he's just concerned."-Shiro
Lance just sighed.
"Hey guys i think this planet would be fine to land on. You wanna take a look?"-Pidge
"Sure."-Shiro
They headed to the planet, and Lance decided to try a training technique he's been wanting to do.
