"FROM SEVEN YEARS."

I already had enough champagne back in my room and was dizzy. Letting out the stuff isn't a big issue for me right now. I won't tell him completely about Amyra though. That bastard doesn't have one single reason to know about her.

He is looking straight into my eyes and for a moment I saw something inappropriate and rare. I saw greif and hope, which I don't want people to expect from me. Hope. It destroy's people's lives. That's excatly happened seven years ago. And in those seven years, he'll never know how much I suffered. 'Cause of him. And I'll never forget that. Never.

"Why?" He asked as I sip the last drop of the wine. I was avoiding his hard stare, skipping through the menu pages and wandering my eyes around here and there. He huffed and grabbed my both wrists with one hand, other hand going to my chin to raise it up. I reluctantly raised my chin.

"Karan, alright, let me tell you a thing. Fifteen february is not only your birthday. There are other people who celebrate their birthday's on that day," I quoted with my fingers, "I've one special person - who celebrates their birthday on that day."

He raised his brow, snorting. "Be serious for a while, Arora. I'm not a fool to believe your stories."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Karan, I honestly don't care if you believe this or not. It's not your birthday date, for God's sake. Get over it!"

"Okay, I believe you. But, who's that?" He asked me, fumbling with his fingers and I placed my palm on his fingers.

"That's none of your concern, Luthra." I smirked, before taking of my palm and pouring myself another glass of wine. "Apply cold water for the burn, dear."

"Whatever." He stood up and left, before kicking of the chair. I rolled my eyes at his childishness and lack of anger management. I huffed and payed the amount and left to my room to slip into my beauty sleep.

karan's pov:

I slammed the door shut and grunted. Honestly, who the hell does she think of herself? Queen Elizabeth? Huh. I lit the cigarette and placed it in between my lips. I took a puff and sighed. Who's that person in her life? Is that a guy? But, who's that? Maybe, I should ask Rahul. He must know it, since he was there with for god knows how much time.

I rolled my eyes and dialed his number. "Hey, man, what's up?"

I smiled at the irritation in his voice, a new girl huh, "Uh, nothing, Rahul; I wanted to ask whether you've seen the news today? There was this fire accident in London and I thought maybe you were there or," I supressed a laugh, "witnessed it."

He grunted in response, "are you fucking serious, Karan? If anything fucking happened to me, wouldn't someone fucking inform you both, huh? Are you seriously working for someone to destroy my life?"

I laughed, "Calm down, mate; there's no require to use that much profanity. I just wanted to ask you about Preeta."

"WHAT HAPPENED TO PREETA? IS SHE OKAY? HANG ON,"  He yelled, before talking to his date, "hey, darling, can we meet tomorrow?"

I rolled my eyes at their affection. "Rahul, stop jerking out for everything I tell about Preeta. There's nothing wrong or serious with Preeta; I want to know few things about her, douche."

"Thanks for ruining my life, Luthra. It's fucking appreciated; but never mind, what's fucking with your brain?"

"Eh, I wanted to know; did anyone came into Preeta's life right after I left?"

I swear, I heard a sharp intake of breath, right before he answered me. "Yes, Karan. There is a important and special person in her life, right after you left. If you have stayed - maybe you'd have known them."

I squint my eyes. "What the hell? We're not doing a guilt trip over here, Rahul. Tell me who's the person?"

"It's not my place to disclose the name of the person, Karan. Don't bother me ever again about this situation. I could never give you a answer."

He hang the call and I huffed. What does he mean by it's not his place to tell?

Ugh, I swear, Preeta Arora - I'll find out who's that special person is.
