Wait what!? I'm the father? That's not possible―that's not! Look, it's not like I'm infertile or something, but; this is surprising. If I'm really Amyra's father, then why didn't Preeta say me? I've every right to know about my daughter. I looked at Amyra and smiled at her. Her hair color was black and her nose . . . just like mine. I smiled and walked up to the dressing table in the room.

I took the comb from the table and pulled out a hair strand from the comb. I put the strand in my sunglasses box and looked around the room. There are many pictures around the room―mostly of Preeta and Amyra. They look like they're so happy. So happy, that I feel like hugging them and say, 'we're a family.'

And; if the DNA test results come positive, I'll be the happiest person in the world. I quickly went out of the room and jog down the stairs and walk out of the house—closing the door behind. I sat in my car and drove out of the house. The time's already one in the morning and I don't feel to go home, now. I'm shook. Amyra Luthra. I smiled and drove over to the beach. I played music in the radio and enjoyed the lyrics and music. I parked the car nearby the beach and got down. The breeze was chilly and salty. I sat down on the sand and looked at the night sea and beaming stars, gushing waves and the innocence of moon.

"Karan, lift your mobile, It's been ringing continously!"

I groaned and cut the call―which has been irritating me from the very start. I woke up and sat on bed for a while, before going to washroom. After a quick shower, I jog down the stairs and saw Mum was making aloo paratha [indian bread stuffed with mashed potato.] and sat on one of the chairs.

"Mum, I'm hungry!" I yelled and dad laughed, reading the newspaper.

"Coming, Karan!" Mom yelled back and I grinned. Its been years, since I've ate aloo paratha. My mom came from the kitchen and placed a hot, sizzling and ghee aloo paratha. I licked my lips before literally digging through the whole paratha. My mom placed her hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"Oh, Karan," my mother began, "I forgot―you've got this parcel."

I put the plate away and observed the basket. There were ferrero rocher, diary milk, galaxy chocolates in them with a note in it.

Thank you, pyschobaba. (:

Psychobaba? What type of name is this? god, this person is crazy as hell. I rolled my eyes and ate the rest out Paratha. After placing the paratha in the sink―I sat in my car and drove to the JMF hospital (okay, that's a made up one, alright. if it's there somewhere―it's a coincidence.)

With the hair strand in a plastic cover, I went up to Dr. Suhail Malik―who's a very good friend of mine. I parked the car in the parking lot and went to receptionist.

"Excuse me, miss?" I called upon the receptionist.

"Yes, sir?"

"Can I meet, Dr. Suhail Malik?"

"Sir, are you Mr. Karan Luthra?"

"Yes, I am Karan Luthra."

"Sir, Dr. Malik has been waiting for you, since fifteen minutes. Please go to third floor and the room across the stairs is his room."

"Thank you, Ms. Sandhu." I smiled at her and she smiled back at me. I took the stairs to the third floor and entered into the room.

I sat across Suhail and he smirked. "You know―back in the university, someone said, 'I'll go to anyone's hospital, but yours.'"

I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Whatever, asshole."

"Okay, okay, give me the hair strand." He laughed and took the hair strand from my hand.

"I'll tell you the results after three hours, alright?" He said and I nodded.

"Karan, get into the room." Suhail said, coming out of his cubicle and I stood up, entering his room, "Sit."

I sat on the chair and he sighed, looking at me. "Okay . . . i don't know, whether this will surprise or you not, but―I'm really happy."

"Suhail, you're scaring me, I swear to god if its―"

"You're the FATHER, Karan."
