"SO, THIS is the person you were talking about?" Both preeta and karan asked at the same time to Rahul. Rahul smiled sheepishly and both preeta and karan sighed dramatically; turning to other side. Rahul smirked, without their knowledge. All Rahul wanted was ― his favourite pair to be together. Karan's pride and Preeta's Prejudice was the only reason they are not together.
"Guys? Are you okay with each other? I know, the past circumstances made you, umm, distant. Can you both work together? 'Cause this project contains traveling and working together. If you cannot, we can drop this whole project, Luthra and Arora." Rahul said, sitting down on the chair, arranging his files, which were sprawled across the table.
"Honestly, Rathore? I want to quit ― but, please don't stop this project, okay." Preeta said with a sigh and Rahul shook his head in disbelief. His whole project is all about, making these both closer than before. Preeta bit her lip and Karan rolled his eyes, plopping down on the chair in front of him.
"Come on, guys. It's not fair! Honestly, I choosed you both because, your one of the most influential and bloddy damm proffesional companies in the whole world, Karan and Preeta! So, that's why! If you don't like being in this project ― I'll drop this. I don't want to do this project, without you." Rahul said, with a dramatical twist at the end, receiving draggers from both Karan and Preeta.
"Okay, Rahul. I'll do the project." Preeta said, slowly and Rahul's eyes sparkled, whilst Karan felt a pang of glad in his chest and he ignored it, rolling his eyes. Preeta sat down on the chair and Rahul started to talk about the project and both Karan and Preeta nodded their head, listening to him, carefully.
In between the meeting, Karan purposefully throw few glances at preeta, looking at her divine face. Her cheeks were soft and pink at the middle. Her plump, small lips were parted slightly and her chocolate brown eyes were soft, innocent and fixed on the white board. His eyes trailed down to her collarbone. He quickly turned his eyes towards Rahul. She's a distraction, She's a distraction, She's a distraction he chanted, at his mind. Her eyes were transferred to Karan. His features, made her fall in love with him more. She tried to remove the thoughts of him in these seven years, but it never happened. It never did.
"So, that's it, then! We're done for today! Make sure your bring your notepads and charts tomorrow for the another meeting. Everyone, you need to be here at ten in the morning and we've much more to discuss. But, tomorrow's meeting will be given by Preeta and Karan. Preeta―" Rahul turned to her, "―I want you to prepare few suggestions. And you, Luthra," he pointed out at Karan, "Make sure you find suitable places for our venture." He turned towards everyone, "Alright. Take a leave everyone. See you at ten in the morning, tomorrow. Have a good night."
Karan and Preeta nodded and got up from their places. It was already ten and her stomach was grumbling from the hunger. Rahul noticed her uncomfort, and went towards her. "Preeta, would you like to join me for dinner? I'm starving!" He lied to her.
Preeta nodded and smiled at him, but she was very thankful for him, inside. "Sure. Let's go."
Both made their way to the nearby Italian restaurant. They both got inside and made their way to the table and sat. A waiter handed them a menu card and left to bring a book to place their order. They both settled on white sauce pasta, garlic bread and red wine. They were talking, giggling at their old memories. But Preeta felt someone were watching them and it bothred her. She turned to her sides and spotted one person, piercing their eyes into her.
Karan idiot Luthra.

hey, my gems! here's the third chapter. like i said, i had a maths test today, it went well. the paper was so damm easy. and my third weekly test will be on tuesday. i'll update the fourth chapter on wednesday or thursday. thank you so much, for coping up with me. and coming to the chapter, it was really boring, i know. but, it's just a filler guys. next chapters will be alright! don't forget to vote and comment your thoughts, like always!
