the regrets.

"I'm sorry to disturb your sleep parents and students; but we have to cancel our trekking plans as―there will be a very strong snowfall tomorrow and day after. Thank you. And please, go to your rooms." The headmaster said and parents groaned, with sleepy eyes. It's eleven in the night and the head master decided to tell everyone now. Amyra was already asleep and Preeta left her in the room along with Ayaan beside.

It was six in the morning, when Preeta woke up to the sounds of sneezes. Amyra was sneezing continously and Preeta got up from the bed to her toiletry bag and took out Amyra's medication. Winter means allergy. Preeta thought and took the water bottle from the night-stand.

She made her gulp down the tablets and Amyra sleeps again, with light snoring and Preeta smile softly at Amyra, with sleepy eyes and fall next to her―sleep consuming her immediately.

Again at nine in the morning, Preeta wakes up and listens to a soft sound through the hotel's window. She gets down from the bed and pace towards the window to find a breathtaking view. The whole road, trees and houses were covered in snow. Preeta gasped at the sight of children―goofing around with their skateboards. It's been a while, since she had actually been on a skateboard.

Preeta had won several medals for her skating and she was an amazing player back then. But as she changed her school and the city―things which she had always had a thing for, changed. Preeta wanted to play in the snow along with Amyra, but Amyra is allergic to the snow. To the season of winter.

Preeta covered Amyra with another layer of duvet and turned on the heater and went to bath. After her warm bath, she put on a yellow sweater with black leggings and a muffler. She ordered caramel waffles, scrambled eggs and babycorn soup for Amyra and white-sauce pasta for herself.

After she ate her breakfast―she woke Amyra and made her brush and gave her a warm bath. Amyra was enthusiastic to see her favourites on the table and was ready to dig in. After an hour full of favourite foods, tv shows and talks, both mom and daughter decided to go to the warm swimming pool on the eight floor.

Changing into their warm swim suits, Amyra and Preeta took a dive into the pool and splashed on each other, until they heard a shuffle nearby the door. Preeta removed her goggles and saw Ayaan and his chachu behind him with a sly smile.

"Are we disturbing your moments, ladies?"

Preeta rolled her eyes, whereas Amyra giggled. Way to ruin a moment, Luthra. Thought Preeta and made her way out of the pool and wrapped a towel around her waist and sat on the chairs.

"MUMMA! Why did you go away? I thought we were swimming together?" Amyra frowned. Preeta sighed deeply. She didn't want to swim in the same water as Karan did. And she has to stay away from him as soon as possible―if not, something worse is gonna happen.

"Amyra, you swim. I'm tired now―you, Ayaan and Ayaan's uncle swim together. I'll watch you all, okay?" Preeta said and Amyra instantly agreed.

"Isn't it creepy, Arora?" Karan asked from behind―in his black shorts and black vest, ready to swim any moment now.

"Creepy, what?" Preeta asked and Karan smirked.
