"sophia, come on! this shit is making my eyes itchy." jaeden complained, wanting to rip the blindfold off. sophia rolled her eyes. "quit whining. we're nearly there."
the female uber driver chuckled at the two teenagers. "so, how long have you two been together?"
jaeden frowned, although you couldn't see it with the blindfold in the way. "we're not together. i have a girlfriend."
"yeah, so do i." sophia smiled.
the woman nodded. "right, sorry."
sophia waved her hand. "it's fine."
after what felt like forever of jaeden complaining, they arrived at their destination. sophia took a deep breath after she thanked the uber driver and helped jaeden out of the car.
"can i please take off the blindfold now?"
"okay, fine." sophia sighed. jaeden immediately yanked off the blindfold once he heard those words. he looked around, confused. "soph, where the fuck are we?"
their surroundings were just sitka spruce trees and mud. there was a dirt road that the car drove away on. sophia couldn't contain a grin. "we're basically in the middle of nowhere. i still gotta get you to a certain place, though."
jaeden didn't question her, as she hoped. "just take me wherever it is."
— an hour of walking —
jaeden spotted two cabins in the distance. "is that it?"
sophia nodded.
they reached the cabins and jaeden examined everything. "i'm still confus—"
sadie burst out of one of the cabins. "oh my god, finally! i thought a serial killer was going to come find me or some shit!"
"sadie?" jaeden looked at sophia. sophia simply smiled and he returned his gaze back to his girlfriend. "what are you doing here?"
"well, sophia thought that you needed a little getaway. so, here we are."
jaeden walked over to sophia. "i'm sorry for being a whiny bitch on the way here."
"you were doing my head in. wanna know how many times i thought of throwing you out of the car window? but, you're forgiven."
jaeden chuckled. "um, how long will we be staying here?"
"as long as you like, i guess. a few days, a few weeks, whatever."
"but i didn't bring any clothes, or essentials."
"don't worry, sophia grabbed some of your clothes last week and other things you'll need last night."
jaeden lifted an eyebrow. "some? i've been wearing the same fucking clothes all week because i couldn't find my others."
they both looked accusingly at sadie, who threw her hands up in the air defensively. "i was just being careful."
sophia sighed. "where's sam?"
"she's sleeping." sadie informed her.
"okay. jaeden, sadie will show you where everything is." sophia left the couple.
sadie grabbed jaeden's hand softly and pulled him to their cabin. "well, this is our cabin." she said as she opened the door. jaeden quickly observed the inside. she opened another door and it was clearly the bathroom. "i'll let you take a guess." she giggled. she walked over to the two beds. "sophia offered to bring just one king-sized bed that we could share, but i wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable with it so we got two queen-sized beds."
