My Whole Dang Sky

This poem is inspired by a friend. I give credit to Kaylee Bruerton

You weren't just a simple star to me.
Watching you twinkle as the night draws nigh.
Looking and seeing you shine.
Searching for you all the time.
So close but yet so far a constant reaching for you.

I see you up there with all the others wondering why you are so far.
Come close fall to the earth for me.
We can live together happily.
The sky consists of tons of stars but you are the one I want, you are the one I choose.

Can we change the present to benefit us?
The sky will be the void of our time together.
And each star a memory.
A bright light that's always there.
Endless never knowing it's limit.

Stars never disappear they are only hidden by the day times sun.

But you aren't just a star, you are way more complex.
You are multiple stars, ... even more than that.
You are the whole sky.
All the stars, each and every bright shining light.
You are everything.
You are my whole dang sky
