Tonight is the night of Tyler and I's date.I looked in the mirror and patted my skirt down. I was wearing a light sweater, a floral skirt and brown combat boots. He told me to wear something casual, so this is what I came up with.
"Willow, Tyler's here." I heard my dad yell.
Ever since that night when I found out about the letters, dad and I have been growing closer. Yes, I now call him my dad. It's still a little weird, but I'm slowly getting used to it. It's still weird having a dad, sometimes.
I grabbed my brown purse and my phone and headed downstairs. I saw Tyler standing there talking to my dad.
I shyly waved at him and walked up to them.
"Okay, have fun, but not too much fun. I want my daughter home by ten o'clock, not a minute later." He said in a stern voice.
I laughed. "Okay, dad. I promise we'll be fine." I said before giving him a kiss on the cheek before Tyler and I headed out. We walked over to his car in his driveway, since we lived next to each other and got in. "So, where are we going?"
"It's a surprise."
I groaned. "Please, just tell me. I hate surprises."
He laughed. "I promise, you'll like this surprise."
I sighed and looked out the window watching trees and building pass by. Tyler turned on the radio and the song "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes came on. I started to quietly sing along with the lyrics.
"You have a nice voice." I heard Tyler say after about two minutes of silence, except for the music, in the car.
"Not really, but thanks," I said.
The rest of the car ride, which was about ten minutes, was in a comfortable silence. Soon we pulled into a parking lot that you could clearly see a lit up Ferris wheel in the dark. It was a carnival.
I gasped in excitement as I turned to Tyler. "You brought me to a carnival."
"Yup, I figured why not the first thing you sightsee be a carnival." He says as he opens my door.
I got out and smiled at him. "Thanks." He smiles as we walk up to the ticket booth.
I begin to take out my wallet, but he beats me to it. "Tonight, everything is on me." I held back my protest as we walked away. "So, what do you want to do first?"
I thought for a second looking around before spotting my favorite ride ever. I pointed towards it. "That one."
He chuckled. "That's my favorite ride."
"Mine, too." We smiled as we walked towards the ride with the big sign saying "Pirate Ship." We got in line and started immediately talking, and all of a sudden we were on the ride.
Before we knew it we had been here for about two hours. We were currently eating pizza on a bench, each of us on a different side facing each other.
"So, are you having fun?" Tyler asked.
I nodded. "A lot of fun. I haven't been to a carnival in a long time."
"Wow, really. I come here a lot with friends." He says taking another bite of his pizza. We sat in a comfortable silence for a minute before he spoke again. "So, do you still think I'm a man-whore?"
I giggled looking down at my hands. "No, not really." I looked at him.
"Good because I'm not." We laughed.
When we were done with our food we started walking around just talking about random stuff.
"So, why did you move here? You said it was a long story, we've got time." He asked
