"Willow, come on," Naomi yelled to me.
I laughed as I ran up to her as we squeezed through the tight crowd of dancing people at the club. We found a slightly open spot where we began to dance.
I guess I should bring you up to speed on what's been going on. I'm in my last year at Columbia. Yes, I'm a senior at Columbia. I know right, time really does fly by when you're having fun. And that beautiful blonde headed girl dancing beside of me, that's my best friend and roommate, Naomi. She was my roommate when I first came here and we instantly clicked and now we are tighter than tight.
Now, before you start questioning 'what happened to Ivy,' don't worry, Ivy is still my sister separated by birth. She actually came to Columbia with me and we roomed together our first year, but we were put in a triple dorm and that's how we met Naomi. Since then, the three of us have become inseparable.
Speaking of her, here she comes moving through the crowd. "Oh my god, you should've seen the bartender. He's so hot." I laughed as I took her drink from her hand, took a sip, then handed it back to her. She was too drunk to yell at me.
You're also probably wondering what happened to Ben, Ivy's boyfriend. They had broken up last year, and yes it was a shock for all of us considering they had been dating since what felt like forever. But, they had decided that with all the fighting that had started when they were apart wasn't healthy, so they broke up. It took them about two and a half years to end it, which was hard. They're still somewhat friends, but we all know that they're not actually talking anymore. It was heartbreaking for her at first, but she soon moved on and is actually happier than ever.
"He asked for my number!" She screamed over the loud music.
I just laughed and we began to dance again, all together.
Just to calm your nerves, yes, Tyler and I are still together and actually stronger than ever. He's still in California at college, but we try to see each other at least once a month. Sometimes once a month doesn't work, but we always understand the struggles of college and we know soon we'll see each other soon. That's also why we cherish the summers so much because we have so much time together.
Speaking of Tyler, he's calling me right now. I excused myself from the girls and quickly went outside where it was quieter and answered.
"Hey, baby."
"Hey, beautiful. Just calling to check in." He said. He knew I was going out, so when he knows that he tries to call once or twice to make sure I'm okay. Some people would say he's too overprotective and clingy, but to me, I think it's super sweet that he's just trying to make sure I'm okay.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Ivy is gawking over the bartender and Naomi is drunk. The usual." I laughed.
He laughed. "Okay, babe, let me know when you get home, so I know you're safe."
"I will. I love you."
"Love you, too." With that, he hung up.
I made my way back into the club to find Ivy and Naomi. I went to the spot I had left them to find they weren't there. I started looking around, but I couldn't see anything past the people surrounding me. I groaned as I made my way out of the dancefloor and looked around again. I finally spotted them with two guys. I made my way to them and as soon as they saw me they started yelling 'Willow!' and 'Aye, Willow's here.' I laughed knowing they were extremely wasted.
The guys looked at me and smirked.
"Well, hello." The tall brunette said leaning towards.
"Hi." I simply said before turning to Naomi and Ivy. "You ready to go."
They groaned. "Oh, come on, Willow, we're having so much fun," Ivy said then turned to the other guy who was tall and blonde. "This is Kevin..." then turned to the brunette "and that's Trevor." She stumbled but caught herself. "They were just saying they had some drinks at their place. We were gonna go. Come on, let's go."
"Absolutely not," I said instantly grabbing them and pulling them away from the guys.
"Please, you're such a party pooper," Naomi complained.
"Trust me, you'll thank me in in the morning."
"Come on, the girls want to have fun. Why don't you loosen up." The blonde said to me.
"No thanks." With that, I pulled the girls with me leaving the club.
I called a cab and when it arrived I put them inside before sitting in beside them. I told the driver the directions and then sat back. I looked at my phone to see it was 4 am. I groaned. I was exhausted. I heard the girls giggling to each other and I internally thanked myself for not getting drunk tonight and for being the DD.
When we got back to our apartment, I pulled them into the elevator, down the hall, and into our apartment. I laid them into their rooms and then finally collapsed into my own bed after changing into my PJs.
I grabbed my phone and dialed Tyler's number. On the third ring, he answered.
"Hey, babe, you home?"
"Yeah, I just got back."
"Okay, thanks." He paused. "Um... I actually have a surprise for you."
I perked up. "Oh yeah, what is it?"
"I'm coming tomorrow."
"Oh my god, really?"
"Yeah, my classes were canceled for tomorrow, so I decided to make a little trip to see my girl."
"Tyler, I'm so excited."
He laughed. "Me, too."
"When are you getting here?"
"Around noon."
I can't wait.
