Tyler's POVThis was all my fault.
"Call 911!" I heard someone scream, but my mind was so clouded I could barely hear them.
This was all my fault.
"Is she breathing?!"
I couldn't check. I was too scared to check.
I didn't know how long I sat there before I saw the flashing lights appear and her body was put into the ambulance.
"Can I go with her?" I had finally asked before they had closed the doors.
One of the men nodded and I quickly hopped up and sat beside Willow grabbing her hand gently.
I didn't say anything the whole ride to the hospital. I just kept my eyes on Willow as the two men tried to keep her breathing. When we finally arrived, they rushed her inside and immediately into an operating room. I had tried to follow, but a woman stopped me telling me I wasn't allowed in there. She escorted me to the waiting room then left with an apologetic smile.
I couldn't stop moving. My leg was bouncing, my hands were shaking and my lip was trembling. Suddenly I couldn't take it anymore and I let it all out. My tears streamed down my face as I leaned down setting my head in my hands as sobs whimpered out.
"Please be okay." I whimpered softly.
After about 20 minutes of silently sobbing, my phone started buzzing. I composed myself as best as I could before taking my phone out of my pocket. It was Grace. Another tear fell before I pressed the 'accept'.
"Hello." My voice was hoarse.
"What's going on? Where are you?!" She screamed through the phone.
My felt my lips quiver. I could barely get out the word 'hospital.'
"Tyler, what happened?" I could tell by her voice that tears were threatening to fall.
I took a deep, shaky breath. "She... she was hit by a car." I slight sob escaped and I tightened my eyes praying more tears weren't coming out. "She's in an operating room."
There was silence on the other side of the phone. After a few moments, she finally spoke. "We're on our way." Before the line went dead.
I descended the phone from my ear and looked straight ahead of me. I knew I had to call her dad, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I couldn't bring myself to tell her father that his own daughter is fighting for her life right now, and it's all my fault.
Just then I heard the doors open and in came Jackson, Willow's father. As soon as his eyes caught mine he rushed towards me. I quickly stood to my feet.
"Tyler, what happened?!" He was frantic. I could tell he was fighting the tears from falling. He was trying to stay strong.
It took me a few seconds to collect the courage and voice to speak. "Willow was hit by a car."
"Why was she by the park? You guys were supposed to be at the school for Prom."
I look down at the floor and my voice cracked. "Willow and I had gotten into a fight." I sniffed looking up, but far from his eyes. "She had gotten upset and ran away. I ran after her and found her at the park." I took a deep, shaky breath and finally looked into his broken eyes. "I tried to stop her, but it was too late."
"Why were you two fighting?" He asked and I knew I couldn't answer.
Just then Grace and them rushed through the doors. As soon as she saw me she ran towards me and pushed me.
