The Exchange

Despite the smoke clouding your vision, and fire engulfing your former home, you weren't as scared as you should have been. There he stood, the fabled Goku Black, seemingly admiring his gruesome handiwork on your half dead parents. "Black," the name rolled off your tongue, feeling sinful against your lips. You'd never seen the destroyer in person just heard descriptions, so it was surreal to see him in the flesh.

Strangely enough, you found him attractive and wanted to get a closer look at the scene, but getting yanked into a hug stopped you. You were about to struggle, but the familiar scent of strawberries accompanied by ash filling your nose hindered you. Relaxing, you calmly removed youself from your sister's grasp, allowing your gaze to take in her unusually dull blonde hair, and tearful gray orbs. "(Y/n)! You're okay!"

You nodded, wiping stray tears from her ashy face. "Yeah, we need t-" you were interrupted as a piercing scream filled the air. Snapping your head back to Black, you watched him carelessly snap your parents necks with his boot, before his sharp onyx orbs clashed with your doe (e/c) ones. Wasting no time, you promptly gripped your sister's wrist and exited the building. You couldn't do anything for your parents, but you'd be damned if the being put his hands on your sister.

It felt like you'd been running forever in your attempt to get to the woods, but apparently you weren't fast enough, as you suddenly lost the grip of your sister's hand, her piercing scream accompanying the lost sensation.  Whipping back around, you found (s/n) sobbing and struggling in Black's grip to no avail. "Going somewhere mortals?" The being quipped, a faint smirk adorning his features as he stared you down intensely. You wanted to look away, but fear among other things stopped you. Cautiously, you took a step forward, one almost thinking that you might have been bravely challenging him. "L-let her go"

At your command  Blacks grin grew impossibly wider, and you felt yourself tremble violently as he suddenly produced a yellow sphere in his free hand, holding it close to your sister's face tauntingly.  "Ha! You mortals never cease to amaze me. What do you think gives you the right to order me, a god?" The beings eyes seemed to dance with a swirl of emotions as he waited for your response. Gingerly, you dared to reach out, and grasped Goku Blacks gi, staring up at him, blushing, as tears swelled in your eyes. "I- I d-don't know...all I know is I'd exchange anything for my sister's life"

"Is that right? Even the resistance headquarters location?" Black watched you with interest, it'd been a long time since someone had offered something to him, so he was curious about what your response would be, (s/n) voice caught your attention however. (Y/n)!! Don't!! the resistance is all that's left to save us!!" You knew that fulfilling Blacks request could mean the end of mankind, yet you couldn't find it in yourself to care, your mind was already made up, unconsciously you fiddled with his sleeve. "Y- yes, a friend of mine took me to the resistances headquarters a few times before, so I could tell you the location" a pit formed in your stomach as Black smirked, but you were relieved when he released your sister. The moment didn't last long, as she quickly stood, gave you a piercing glare then ran off to the woods. You shouldn't have been surprised, your sister adored the resistance, and yet sadness filled you.

You were so caught up you didn't even struggle when the beings arm wrapped around your waist, and he pulled you close, only squirming when he grasped your chin, and made you look at him. For a moment, your sad orbs stared into the emotionless eyes undoubtedly eating up the interaction between you and your sister. It felt like forever, but Black finally broke eye contact, and chuckled  "Funny isn't? You saved her, and yet she doesn't appreciate you" you couldn't even bring yourself to snap at Black, you knew why (s/n) had done what she did, and you could only hope that she was safe from Goku Blacks clutches at the moment.

Taking to the sky, It wasn't long before you, and Black dropped down onto a hill, and the being walked to the edge, observing his clearly visible destruction. It was silent, and you didn't know how long you stood watching his slim frame, and the blazing fire, but at some point the peace became too much, and you finally spoke. "Aren't you gonna ask me where the headquarters is?"

"You're in that much of a rush to betray mankind already??" Black spoke, turning and slowly walking back to where he'd left you. You didn't like how intimidating the being looked advancing toward you despite his calm, graceful demeanor, and so you found youself backing away until a tree stopped you. The being wasted no time in caging you between his arms a second later, leaning in so close your noses almost touched. "N-no it's just-" your breath hitched in your throat as Black inched impossibly closer, making you blush as your memory reminded you just how handsome but dangerous he'd looked from a distance.

 "Just what? You know we haven't been around each other long, yet I can see that you don't understand the consequences of our deal. Come" Black didn't wait for your response as he pulled away, and dragged you to the edge of the hill with him. All you could see was ashes, fire, and remnants of buildings from this stand point, it confused you, and you didn't know what Black wanted you to see until you spotted a young child and its mother. Your blood chilled at the sight, he'd been looking at new targets!! you turned to face the being only to discover he wasn't by you anymore. Looking back you found him standing in front of the now frightened child and mother, a small yellow ki in hand again. "Black!! Don't!!" You immediately rushed down the hill, intending to stop him, and ended up embracing him, your hand gripping his arm." Please don't!!"

"Take a look (y/n) this is what I intend to do to the rest of the resistance" against his words, you buried you face into Blacks side, trying to block out the screams to no avail. When everything finally died down, you finally pulled away, discovering nothing but ash on the floor, and blood covering your clothes making sick to your stomach. Turning to Goku Black, you watched him smirk once more at his handiwork, and wipe some blood from his face. "Destroying the headquarters shall be magnificent, don't you think?" In shock, again you said nothing, not even attempting to stop Black from wiping blood off you or reacting when he gently kissed your forehead. Your mind chanting how every thing had turned into a mistake the only thing thumping in your head.
