It was the middle of February now, and the snow was just starting to dry up, leaving dew drops and puddles in its wake. Trekking through a field left untouched by Goku Black, you couldn't resist peeking at the objects laying inside the box for the tenth time today.

The first was a picture of a humanoid man and woman. The man had green skin, pointy ears, piercing gray orbs, white hair styled in a mohawk and was dressed in weird attire. He seemed flustered, but steadied his eyes to the camera, trying to pretend the woman clinging to him wasn't affecting him. The woman's face was scratched out, but you could tell she was looking at the green skinned man. She had extremely long (h/c) hair that caressed the grass below, and wore a white dress adorned with roses.

The second object was a pair of golden bands with round green emeralds on them. They looked like they fit snug when worn on the wrist. The third object was the map you held in your other hand currently, it was leading you somewhere you hadn't known even existed. However, it was the last object that intrigued you the most. It was a simple sphere, the size of a strawberry, yet upon closer inspection you noticed the intricate designs surrounding its form.

A freezing gust of wind snapped your thoughts and you glanced up, doing a double take at the scene in front of you. Where you stood, there was grass, however, if you moved just a little closer, you would find yourself in snow, seemingly unaffected by the warm temperature. Looking a little farther, you could see the bluest water ever, also unaffected by both the temperature and snow where finally what looked like a slab stone sat in the middle of all the varying matter. You guessed the whole thing was a circle, and proceeded onwards, softly grumbling at the cold flurry beneath your feet.

The water wasn't as deep as you thought, allowing you to get close to the stone-marble now that you could see it clearly. You traced the material, appreciating the craft, but tempted to get on top of it when you gasped. There was someone was in it!! Getting inhumanely close, a strong pang hit you. 'She's wearing the same outfit as the lady in the photo, but why does she look like me?' You straddled the marble, trembling wracking your frail features until a familar voice spoke. "Seems you've opened the box"

"Black!!!" You whipped your body around, tears burning at the corners of your burning (e/c) orbs. You ran from your doppelganger, clumsily throwing yourself into the beings arms as you continued to tremble, you didn't understand what you were seeing. "Do you still wish to know how I know you (y/n)??" There was an unmistakable graveness in his voice as he spoke, softly petting your head. Slowly you pulled away, wiping away stray tears as you nodded.

"You were my wife, a special halfbreed mortal chosen by my master in the hopes that my time with you would extinguish my hatred for your kind." You followed Black back to the marble imprisonment, staying in the water as he hovered slightly above it. "You were kind, and served me well, yet the hatred I had then and still now overflowed righteously so I sent you back...you were rich on earth, but by the time you came back the limitless carnage of humans had already taken everything away from you."

You watched Black cross his arms in a huff, anger and another emotion swirling in his sharp onyx eyes as he continued on. "My master was fond of you and would tell me about what you were doing every chance he got...however when he died I no longer knew what had become of you." You gulped, your trembling starting again as tears unknowingly started to escape your eyes. "At the start of my cleansing I searched for you, not surprised at your untimely demise, however the state I found you in, the one we're inside of now was quite unusual,  it wasn't until I found the box that I'd realized part of what you'd done. I remembered reading about your nonhuman side and their ability to separate and heal themselves, unfortunately it wasn't until I saw you that everything made sense..."

"(Y/n), what you see is your Non human side. The marble encasing is of your doing, made to protect you as you healed. I'm guessing you split yourself, allowing the alien part of you to sustain all the damage while the human essence roamed until you could reunite." Black sighed, uncrossing his arms as he glanced at you. You'd managed to stop shaking, busying yourself by staring at your other half. 'There's so many things...I want to ask of you and Black, yet I can only ask him at the moment.'

"How did I know that I would find this place??" You questioned, gazing at Black. The being simply handed you a note, chuckling to himself. "You were smart, you knew me better than myself at the time. You knew that I'd come down here to fulfill my plan eventually, so I was entrusted to return you. You didn't deserve what happened to you so I owed you this much at least." The flicker of softness mixed with sadness briefly returned to Blacks orbs as he said this, putting his hands on his hips as he turned to you. "If you put those bands on and eat that sphere fruit in the box, then you should be rejoined"

"This is fruit?!" You deadpanned, picking up the sphere, sweat dropping at the nod of Blacks head. Straddling the marble again you turned to Black, catching him off guard as you took his hand in yours. "Will you be here when I'm one again??" Your eyes burned brightly into Blacks and you thought you saw a hint of a blush as he quickly turned away. "Why would you want me around?? How are you so confident I won't kill you?"

You stood up on the marble, going onto your tippy toes as your hand moved to Blacks shirt and pulled to get his attention, kissing him passionately when you did. The being tensed, but then brought you closer, making you moan as he bit your lower lip. Your lips parted, allowing him to deepen the kiss further. You wanted to do more, but you had to reform first, pulling away, you panted, a blush adorning your cheeks as Black smirked at your actions. "I'm not, all I know is I don't want to be by anyone else's side. If you gave me another chance, I know I'd make it worth it your while."

"You haven't changed (y/n)" you smiled heartily at Black, snapping the bands on your wrist before you layed down, popping the fruit into your mouth as you closed your eyes. Thankfully, It didn't take long for the effects to take ahold of you.

If you were warm before, you were burning up now. You felt extremely parched, and just when you thought it would go on forever a cool substance enevolped you inside and out. Opening your eyes, you found yourself in the water, Black holding you as he glanced at you with swirling emotions. Slowly you reached up and threaded your fingers through his hair, surprised at its softness. "I-I remember" you blurted out, hugging Black closer.

A rare, but genuine smile spread on the beings features as he floated out of the water, slightly adjusting you before taking to the sky. "Yeah...welcome back (y/n), I've missed you" Black muttered averting his gaze from you. You laughed, snuggling closer to the being as you wrapped your arms around his neck. "I've missed you too Black."
