(Y/n)= your name
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A month, a whole month had past since you last saw the intertwined Kai's. People were dying faster than ever before, but you nor Trunks had had the pleasure of running into the genocidal beings at all during the commotion--how lucky. You thought you could at least relax in your sleep but that was not the case. Just closing your eyes brought Black's face to the forefront, his arms wrapping like coils around your body. Subconsciously you rubbed your rose marked hand.
"(Y/n)...you okay?" Trunks asked, his voice slowly drifting into your occupied mind. Glancing up, you nodded your head at the teen. Despite not being injured during your kidnapping, Trunks treated you like you had been, forcing you to stay behind with him and Mai as they healed from their actual wounds. It was boring and you tried to go out many times until finally, the teen healed and relented, allowing you back into action. Though he still watched you like a hawk, always asking how you were much to your annoyance, you were just glad you could go out again without being harped on. "That's good, we should probably get going, Mai's probably waiting on us."
Smiling sheepishly, Trunks extended his hand to you, pulling you up as both of you walked to the entrance of the hideout. Mai was already there, and irritated, not hesitating to complain once she spotted the two of you. "There you guys are! you couldn't get here slow enough! I thought I was gonna have to get supplies on my own!!" Mai pouted, glaring at you and Trunks. You could only secretly scowl while the younger Sayian soothed Mai's mind. "Take it easy will you? we're here now so let's just go" you huffed, ignoring Mai's one last complaint as you took the lead.
The smokey air was thicker than you remembered the deeper you got into the ruins, the substance stinging your eyes as you went along. You did your best to ignore it however, walking around debris as you, Trunks and Mai salvaged around for supplies. It was mostly quiet during the scavenge, Trunks and Mai's occasional small talk the only thing filling the air until you and the pair finally reached a relatively untouched building. "I can't believe how decent this building looks compared to the others" Trunks marvelled, brushing his fingers against the exterior. "Well we are a little ways from where we usually go so that might be why" Mai reasoned. You only hummed in response to the observations, signaling for the teens to get ready to follow you inside.
Pushing the doors open, you cautiously walked through the entrance, your body tense as you surveyed the area. Despite being in somewhat good condition on the outside, the building was still trashed and raided on the inside--shelfs, papers and other random items scattered around on the floor. "This is a large place to cover, so we'll split up. Be careful though, and don't let down your guard" Trunks warned, taking off in his own direction. You only nodded your head, briefly glancing at Mai before making your way somewhere else. If anyone is gonna end up needing help, it'll most likely be Mai you thought, snorting as you lifted up a shelf, pleased when you found some useful items.
You, Trunks and Mai continued on like this for a while, content to search for stuff until a loud blast suddenly sounded near the building. You rose from your crouching position, your heart beating rapidly at what the the sound was most likely a signal of. Deciding to go back to where you and the resistance leaders split off at, you found Mai and Trunks already waiting, weary looks on their faces. "That blast was very close to where we are" Mai fretted, fiddling with the contents in her bag. "Are we gonna have to check it out?"
Sighing, Trunks brushed through his blue strands, his face adopting a serious look. Tossing his bag on his back, he spoke. "Afraid so...the hideout is faraway so the resistance is probably unaware of what just happened" the young Sayian explained pursing his lips. "I don't want whoever did that to ambush them, so we need to intercept."
