A soft breeze blew through your hair as you stared down at the salty waters before you. Sharp ridges could be seen where the ocean pulled back only to crash again. This should be high enough you figured indifferently, stepping back from the cliffs edge to begin your preparation.

Trapped in despair ever since you were a child, you had long sought to end your life. Not because of any particularly debilitating or traumatic event happening to you. No, it was just because you had grown weary, the feeling eventually evolving into a dim sadness that constantly surrounded you.

You'd actually tried to end your life many times before but your parents and siblings had always managed to stop you. This time however you had run away to accomplish your goal. You just hoped you'd be dead before anyone could find you. They'll be better off without me anyway you thought solemnly.

Reaching into your runaway bag, you pulled out a brush and combed through your (h/l) (h/c) hair, having half the mind to at least be decent in your last moments before dying. Tossing the brush back into your bag, you walked back to the cliff, ready to jump when a voice sounded above the waves. "You make light of death standing on the edge like that. Do you not value your life mortal?" it asked, deep and velvety. You turned to face the voices owner, confused at the sight.

A man in dark colored clothing stood by an isolated tree not too far from the cliff, his wild dark hair complementing his attire. He's dressed so weird you thought, his choice of outfit different from the other city folk you usually saw. Ignoring the word he addressed you as, you huffed, spinning back around. "Actually, I don't...I'm trying to end it as we speak and you're interrupting me. What are you doing up here anyway? you look out of place" you retorted, annoyed somebody else was up here with you.

When the man didn't respond to you, you chanced a look back, gasping when you found him more close than you expected. This scare turned out to be a fatal mistake as you lost your footing and stumbled. Your eyes widened, disbelief washing through you at the thought of falling off the cliff in such a manner when the man reached out and grasped your arm.

Pulling you forward, you bumped into his chest all in a matter of seconds. Glancing up, embarrassment won over your fright as you fought the heat crawling up your face. The man was more attractive than you thought now that he was closer, his long lashes and intense onyx orbs intimidating but alluring as he gazed back at you. "Careful mortal, I highly doubt you'd want to bash your head before reaching the water" the man teased, tugging you a safe distance away from the edge.

You turned, trying not to shiver at the playful tint to his voice. You were confused, how could this guy even joke when you were trying to kill yourself? yet there he was, indifferent to your actions where everyone else was concerned. Snatching your arm away, you pouted at him.

"Careful?!? It's your fault I slipped anyway!! You shouldn't invade people's space like that you know!!" you scolded your cheeks puffing. "And stop calling me 'mortal', you can die too so were one in the same species and fate wise!! Also you didn't answer my question!!" You puffed out, stating one thing after the other. The man only snorted at you, putting you off. "I'm up here because I was intrigued as to what you were doing on the edge. As for your last statement..I'm nowhere near your inferior level. I'm a divine being, a god...you are a but a mere human, a fleetingly thing in the universe" the man explained brushing through his dark strands.

Tch, does he think I'm dumb? What kind of divine being would be walking around this trashy planet? You thought, squinting fiercely at the male. Finally you decided to humor him. "Alright Mr. Divine being, what's your name?" You questioned, putting your hands on your hips. The man chuckled softly at your gesture. "Goku Black or Black for short. The mortals gave me the nickname, quaint isn't it?"
