Naomi
As soon as I returned my books and locked my locker, I wrapped my infinity scarf around my neck, put headphones in my ears, and walked away absentmindedly while trying to find a song to listen to on my way home. Before I could even open up my music app, I felt a body hit me hard causing me to stumble back a couple steps.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I should've been looking where I was going." I said before meeting eyes with a curly haired, lighter complexioned girl I've never seen before.
"No, you're fine. I'm sorry I bumped into you. I was rushing down the hall and not paying attention to where I was going." The girl smiled. "What's your name?"
"Naomi, you?"
"Keyanie, but you can call me Key." She said before looking down at her phone. "I'm sorry, I'd love to chat but my ride is here. It was nice meeting you." She waved before rushing down the hall.
This is Keyanie (Key-on-eee)
Once I reached my house, I saw a tall, big, and dark figure hovering near my mother's bedroom window. This meant two things: the lights were paid for, and he was expecting something in return. Disgusting. My mom would really stoop that low instead of getting a job.
I walked up the three steps that led to the front door. I turned the key in the lock slowly and quietly walked up the stairs. Once at the top, I heard my mother inside of her bedroom speaking to who I assumed to be her new boyfriend. Instead of greeting her, I just entered my room and began to work on a painting. Two hours later, my mother pushed the bedroom door open hard, causing it to slam against the wall.
"Heeyy b-baby, how was s-school?" She slurred as she stumbled into the room.
"School was good, mom." I replied without looking up from my canvas.
"T-that's good. I want you to meet someone. His name is T-Tony."
I looked up once I heard Tony walk through the doorway. He stood at least 6 feet and was very muscular. "You must be Naomi." He looked me up and down and bit his lip in hunger. A look of disgust showed on my face.
"Naomi, I need you to do mommy a favor. Just sit right there and listen to Tony, okay?" A smirk grew on her face as she walked towards the door.
"No, whe--" I tried to walk towards the door but Tony towered over me. His 6 foot built stance swallowed my 5'2 height. He picked me up and pinned me to the bed. I tried to fight my way out of his grip, but he was too strong. The more I struggled, the harder his grip got.
"Damn, ma. You look sexy as fuck in that school uniform. Come teach me a lesson." Tony whispered into my ear with a smirk on his face.
As I continued to fight, I heard my mother come back in the room. "B-baby, you're doing g-great. I'm just going to ease the p-pain for you." She covered my face with a cloth, and I went unconscious.

I woke up the next morning confused. What happened last night? I sat up in bed and pain fell over my entire body. The memories of trying to fight Tony came back to me. The last thing I remembered was my mom placing a cloth over my face before I went unconscious. I took a shower and cried as I watched blood trickle down my legs. I scrubbed my entire body, trying to wash every memory of last night away. I got dressed for school in my bedroom. My mother walked into my room once I was dressed. "Baby, you did so good."
"What the fuck is wrong with you? You let him rape me!" My blood began to boil. I knew my mother was evil; stealing my valuables for money was one thing but sacrificing her only daughter was a new low.
"I had to. I needed to pay for the bills. You were the only way. I promise you won't have to go through that again." She tried to stroke my hair. I slapped her hand away.
"If you weren't so busy getting high all the time and got a job instead then maybe you would have money to pay the bills. No, instead you'd rather lay on your back for some man. I won't be the same way. I don't care how you get money for the bills but don't include me in that shit." I stormed out of her room and out of the house.
On my way to school, I constantly called my brother's number, for he was sure to help me deal with the pain I was facing. But, he would not answer. A tear fell down my face as the feeling of helplessness overwhelmed me. My mind raced about what happened last night and what I would do for the next nine months of high school. Unable to stop the tears from streaming down my face, I resorted to music to help calm me. I put on my headphones and played dvsn's "Too Deep."
