The sky was overcast and grey, but flowers bloomed in every corner of the city.
Izuku fidgeted nervously with the hem of his shirt as he walked along the dull, concrete street that led home. The one who was causing his anxious behavior was none other than [Name] [L. Name], who was walking right beside him and recapping her day animatedly. As her vibrant (e/c) eyes brightened while she was talking, the poor green haired boy was painfully aware of his feelings for his (h/c) haired friend.
The two had met in kindergarten and had been inseparable ever since. It was in 6th grade when Izuku realized he liked [Name] more than a friend. However, the freckled boy tried to keep his feelings in control as not to scare off the girl. He would rather have her in his life as a friend than love her but lose her.
"Izu, are you okay?" [Name] asked, her loveable cat ears swiveling to the side to check for any threats or dangers.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" Izuku said tensely, but relaxed as he saw her ears flatten again.
A drop of wet, cold, rainwater hit [Name]'s nose. She twitched a little and sneezed softly, causing Izuku to break out into a heavy blush at how cute she was. However, his mental swooning was cut short as an extremely soft (h/c) colored cat tail wrapped around his wrist.
"Come on!" [Name] said, eyes wide. Izuku chuckled a bit as he let her drag him down the street. Being part cat, the girl despised the rain. As the raindrops kept falling faster and faster, Izuku's mind wandered to the feeling of her soft tail on his arm. He wanted to reach out and stroke the soft fur so badly, but refrained himself, and in doing so, nearly went crazy.
"We'll be dry here!" She cheered as she pulled him under a storefront. The wind was cold and unforgiving, chilling [Name]'s furry ears harshly. She shivered slightly and wrapped her arms around herself. The space was kind of tight, so [Name] glanced at Izuku quickly before stepping in and pressing against the side of the taller male's body.
Izuku blushed upon feeling a light pressure on his hip. Looking down, he saw [Name] staring up at him with gorgeous, kitten-like (e/c) eyes. Izuku smiled softly and wrapped his arms around [Name], warming her up with his body heat. He looked confident and sure of himself, but on the inside, his heart was pounding.
"..."
"..."
The green haired boy's eyes suddenly snapped open as he heard a soft, rumbling sound from [Name]'s throat. Her eyes were closed contently and her soft cheek pushed and rubbed against his arm lovingly, much like a cat who wanted pets. A tinge of red spread across Izuku's cheeks. She was purring.
Maybe it was the way the sound of the subdued, sweet noises in her throat or how close he was to her angelic figure, but Izuku found the previously hidden confidence to show her how much he loved her.
"[Name]..." He said, gently lifting her chin up so she could look at him. Her (e/c) eyes opened with a flash, alarming him. Letting go, he stumbled back a bit due to his lost confidence, but before he realized, he had stepped on the edge of a hole in the ground and fallen in a large puddle with a splash.
"Izuku!" [Name] tried to wrap her tail around him, but it only caused her to fall forward onto his chest. Cold, silver drops of water went in all directions. Now wet, both teenagers struggled to get up from the clear puddle of water, but failed multiple times. So they just lay there, rain falling off their alluring, carved faces as they both stared at each other.
Looking into her friend's vibrant green eyes, [Name] leaned forward a bit. As a fiery blush seared across Izuku's face, he panicked slightly, but as soon as [Name]'s lips collided with his, all his other thoughts vanished. He kissed back with the same warmth, causing fluffy, comforting heat to enter [Name]'s system. Their mouths moved in sync for a couple seconds, their eyes closing. Then, Izuku pulled back and looked nervously into [Name]'s eyes.
"[N-Name]... I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you for a long time now, and I know you're my childhood f-friend and-"
[Name] giggled quietly and wrapped her tail around his mouth, silencing him.
"I was the one who kissed you, remember?" She laughed, hugging him tightly. His clothes were soaked, but his chest was still broad and warm, somehow. The girl cuddled up to him as close as possible while stealing some of his body heat, but he didn't mind.
Izuku smiled gently and wrapped his arms around her waist shyly as he used one hand to ruffle her ears, petting them in all the most satisfying ways. When the soft purrs evoked from her throat again, he smiled with pride, and he leaned in for another warm kiss.
