(Crisis AU) Paul x Deer Centaur!Reader

The small village in the forest that you live in had been attacked by humans before you were born, so now all of the deer centaurs who lived there were scared of humans. Now you had heard about humans again. There was this red leader guy taking over the world and killing anyone who didn't join him!

"~Everybody gather around!~" The mayor of the small village said (When there's a ~ on both sides, it's in deer centaurs language). Everyone gathered around (which was only about 30 deer centaurs). "~We need someone to go sneak around the red army base and make sure they don't know about our village.~"

"~I'll go...~" You blurted, a little shyly, but loud enough. Everyone in the village knew that you were pretty good at being sneaky, though. "~Ah, our dear (Y/N) has volunteered. Alright then. You may go. First I recommend bringing this bag.~" He said, handing you a bag with some water in a container, and some wheat (which you loved to eat!).

So you were on your way to getting to the red army base. You readjusted your (F/C) tube top shirt before continuing. Your deer legs trotted as fast as you could go. If you ended up seeing a human, at least you could outrun them.

Finally you got to a wired fence, and saw what you didn't expect. Nobody was outside! They must be planning another attack on some other humans. "Who are you?!" A human shouted, as he emerged from the base the rest of the way and started running towards the fence. He had a gun, which scared you most. You ran away and hid behind a tree, hiding your deer half of your body.

"I know you're there! I saw your face girl!" He shouted again. It was hard to understand, since he was speaking in human english, but you understood most of it. You had learned it in middle school for deer centaurs. It was like a second language for you. "L-Leave me a-alone!" You shouted in the best English voice that you could.

The man climbed over the fence and started walking near the tree you were hiding behind. "C-Come no f-further huma- Uh.. S-Sir!" You shouted, fear showing clearly in your voice. "Aha! I see you girl..." The soldier said. He only saw your face, though. He started shooting at you, but missed since he wasn't close enough and you used the tree to partially protect you by hiding behind it.

"P-Please s-stop! I d-didn't come to h-hurt you!" You shouted, still not showing your deer body. You were now sobbing and crying. "Oh, gee..." He said, lowering his gun and looking like he felt guilty now. He started walking closer, and then he was only five or so feet away from you. "Please... I won't hurt you... Just step out from behind the tree." He said, in a reassuring voice. "O-Ok..." You responded.

You stepped out from behind the tree, and his jaw basically dropped. "Woah..." He said in awe. You started to back up, still slightly crying. "Hey, hey... I'm not gonna hurt you... I'm sorry..." He said again, calmly. You stopped back away and allowed him to walk up to you. He was the same height as you surprisingly.

"My name is Paul. May I know your name?" He asked politely. "I-It's(Y/N)..." You said, shyly and slightly blushing. "Beautiful name for a beautiful creature like you." Paul complimented. And that's how you two met.

You had been secretly meeting up with Paul every night for about 4 months now. He would tell you what it was like in there and his problems and stuff. He didn't actually want to be a bad guy, but his boss would kill him if he didn't. You had fallen for the human, and you were gonna confess that night.

Now You were on your way to where you two always met up. Your deer half laid down, so it was like you were sitting like a human, except with a half of a deer laying down in the grass. There was a pond in front of you. "Hey there, (Y/N)." Paul said from behind you. He say down next to you.

"Hi Paul... I wanted to talk to you about something..." You said, shyly. "Yeah?" Paul asked. "~I love you~" You said in your language that he didn't understand. "What does that mean?" He asked, knowing it was a deer centaurs language. "I-It means I love you, Paul... I have since the day we met..." You admitted.

You closed your eyes, waiting for rejection, but instead, you felt a soft pairs of lips on yours and realized what was going on. You and Paul were kissing! You melted into the kiss, and then after what felt like forever, but not long enough, you two broke from the kiss. "I take it you accept my feelings?" You asked before giggling.

"Yes. From the moment we met in that forest, I've wanted nothing but to love and protect you, (Y/N). So will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, smiling softly and blushing. "Of course!" You responded.

"I love you, (Y/N)"

"I love you too, Paul."
