Chances on Love

Doubts

Ae was on his way back from getting their drinks when he saw Tin moved near Pete and touched his lover..

He knows nothing is going on..
but that got him really irritated..
He don't want anyone touching his wife even if it's a friend of them so he hurried down.. he knows he is overreacting but what is his, will only be his and Pete is his alone to touch.

He was near them when he heard Pete say something which caught his attention..

"I'm suspecting that his Mom is the one behind all this.."

He couldn't just barge in after hearing those words from his beloved.. so he decided to go back from where he came from..

He was dumb founded and suprised to hear Pete say those words..

He wanted to confront him and asked what he meant however, he didn't hear the whole story..

He went back to the two after seeing Can approach them pulling Tin up and pointing the sandcastle he made.

Pete also followed the two and they were all laughing as Can stumbled on the sand falling directly to the castle he made, destroying it.

He then brought their drinks and pretended he heard nothing.

They all sat down afterwards and laughed as they were teasing Can for his clumsiness.

Ae looked at the three now who were riding a banana boat..

He asked to be left there saying he is waiting for a call but the truth is he just needed to clear his head..

He looked at the empty container of the drinks he bought earlier as his mind wondered.

"Why did Pete said that?" He asked himself.

"His mom was the most understanding of their relationship and accepted them with open arms.. the only reason she got upset was when Pete left him miserable.."

"His mother.." Ae thought..

"Is Pete really referring to my mom?" he breathe in..

He can talk to Tin..
but would Tin say anything?

If Pete asked Tin to keep quiet then he won't even say a thing.. just like how he requested Tin not to say anything to Pete when he asked him a favor to investigate the kidnapping incident..

that's how trustworthy Tin is.

He sighed and took out his phone..

His mother..

He scrolled down to the contact list..

He was holding his phone looking at his mom's number for a while now..

"How could his mom be the orchestrator when she doesn't even know that they are back together.. or does his mom knows everything?" Ae asked himself slowly doubting the person who bore him.

"But she doesn't even know that Pete is back!" Ae wanted to give his mom the benefit of the doubt.

He contemplated but still dialled the number he has been looking at for a few minutes now...

"Hello Son.."
his mom answered after two rings..

"Did I caught you at a bad time mom?" he asked..

"Of course not Son.. you will never in any way disturb me.. I miss you Ae.. when will you have time to see your lonely mother who misses you so much.."

Ae smiled..

"Ma.. I need to tell you something.." Ae said..

"You can tell me anything my son.."
his mom sweetly answerd.

"Did you know that...." Ae's voice faded

"What is it Ae?.." his mom asked worried.

"He is back.." Ae continued

"Who is back Ae..?" His mom asked on the line..

"Pete"
Ae answered briefly.

The line suddenly became quiet..

"Mom.." Ae checked if she was still on the line.

"I don't know what to say son.. Did you already met? when did he return?" she asked.

Ae sighed.. There was no sign his mother knew anything...

They continued to talk for a few minutes..

Ae sighed..
Based on how his mother reacted she didn't know that Pete is back..

"Well son, if being with him will make you happy.. then I'll be happy as well.."

Those were his mother's word..
His mom is a beautiful person and she just wanted what's best for them.

They ended the call and Ae's attention was drawn to the three who were still playing around the water..

He saw Pete running towards him..
His skin is reddish now due to prolonged exposure in the sun..

"Should I ask him directly?.." Ae asked himself..

"You finished with the phone call Ae?"
Pete asked catching his breath..

Ae nodded and smiled..
"Didn't you put any sunscreen Pete? Look at you, your skin is red now.."

Pete just laughed,
"I haven't had this fun for a long time Ae."

"Let's go! I want to ride the jetskii again please."
Pete said pulling his lover up from the sand.

Ae smiled..
How can he say no to him..
Pete was smiling so sweetly and his pearly white teeth were showing which were framed by his pink kissable lips.

Even if he heard him say those words about his mother.. he don't really want to jump to any conclusions..

He loves and trust Pete so much..

He will just wait until it's the right time to talk about it..

Ae's mom sighed after ending the conversation with his son on the phone..

"I'm so sorry Ae, but I'm doing this because I love you so much" she said.. sadness written all over her face..

She pretended not to know anything..
She pretended that she is still welcoming..
she pretended everything's going to be okay..

Then she picked up her phone and dialled a number...

"Looks like Chompoo is unsuccessful.."
"I'll order her to stand down.."
"Now do your best to get him away from my son.."

"Yes Ma'am,"
answered by the other person on the line..

The other person on the line looked intensely on the picture on his hand..

"It's about time Pete..."
he said, then took out a lighter and lit it on, he burnt the photo on his hand until it turned into ashes..

His eyes were fierce and scary,
As he laughed crazily..
