I'm sure guys are all wondering why Roz hates Mel. If you noticed she throws shade all day. Mel's mom doesn't like Roz because Mel's dad (Josiah) used to go with Roz. If you recall earlier in the book Josiah told Moy that he looks familiar. He used to travel to St. Thomas often. He would mess around with Roz. When Tami (Mel's mom) found she threatened to leave Joisah. She said to was either Roz or her. So of course Josiah chose Tami. When Roz found out she was heart broken and hasn't been the same ever since. When Roz looks at Mel she is remained of the life she could of have. If it wasn't for Tami. I hope that makes more sense now. 💁

*One Year Later*

Mel's Pov

"I can't believe my baby is one years old today. I remember when I was labor and was ready to give up. I really thought I was gonna lose Julissa. As you all know my ex kidnapped me and tried to kill me and my baby. Thankfully my Bestfriend Lena came in and saved the day. I honestly have no idea what I would do with out you."

"I love you chica." Yells Lena

"I love you too. What I'm really trying to say is that I can't imagine a life without my princess. It's crazy how one mistake can turn into a blessing. Everyone feared that Juslissa wasn't going to make it. Having a baby at only 6 months is kind of crazy. My baby is a tough cookie and here she is today. Strong, healthy, and as cute as a button. I love you Julissa. I'm so happy to have you as my daughter. I also want to thank Shamoy. If it wasn't for him our little girl wouldn't even be here. A lot of people were against us from the start. Some people dragged my name in the mud. We've been through so much together. I love you more than life itself. Thank you for always being there. You're my Bestfriend, my lover, my protector, my everything. I couldn't ask for a better father for my child."

I couldn't even finish my speech. I broke down crying.

"Its okay babe. Don't cry. I love you too." Says Moy he pulls me into his arms.

"Aww." Says everyone

"You guys are so freaking cute." Says Lena

"I don't know why I'm so emotional today. Everyone have a good time."

"Mommy." Says Julisaa tugging my leg.

"What is it baby?"

"I want a hug too." Says Julissa starting to pout. She reaches her arms out so I can pick her up.

"I'm sorry."

I pick her up and hold her on my hip.

"Family photo say cheese.

Yells Lena

"Cheesee." Says Julisaa saying

We all smile and get closer together.

******* Later on that day*******

"Mommy I want to sleep with you." Says Julissa

"Okay baby come on."

She grabs my hand and I bring into my bedroom.

When I get there I see Moy changing his clothes.

"Where are you going?"

"Out." Says Moy

"Out where?"

"Just out. You don't need to know my every move. Last time I checked we aren't married." Says Moy

"Where is this attitude coming from?"

"I don't have an attitude. Man I'm out and don't want up." Snaps Moy

He reaches down and kisses Julissa before leaving.

Once he's out of the room Julisaa asks "Mommy what's wrong with daddy?"

"I don't know baby. Let me change your your Pjs."

I pick her up and place her on the bed.

"Stay here I'll be back."

"Okay." Says Julissa

I walk into the closet and grab her Mickey Mouse Pjs.

I walk back out and change her.

I changed out of my clothes and throw on a big t-shirt.

I climb into bed and place Julissa in the middle. She ends up climbing onto my chest.

"Goodnight Julisaa."

"Good night mommy." Says Julissa

Pretty soon I hear her light sores.

I can't even sleep. I'm still stuck on how Moy talked to me. This isn't the first time he's done that. It's like ever since we had Julissa he doesn't want to be around me. 😫

I guess that's what I get for getting pregnant by someone barely even know. I swear I have the worst luck with men. 😒

I wrap my arms around Julissa and try to sleep. There's no point in waiting for Moy. He probably won't come home until tomorrow.

I might as well suck it up and get used to it. This is my life now.
