Vampire! Kakashi x Reader

Ch 5

Your phone across the room buzzes and you open your eyes. Sunlight filters through your blinds and across your desk where you had fallen asleep.

You groaned and stretched. a blanket fell off you and to the floor.
Did I take that with me? Had Kakashi put it on me?

No, he wouldn't have.

You carried your mug to the kitchen and turned the stove on. You hadn't eaten dinner and your stomach was loudly protesting.

You frown when you notice the curtains  on the windows down and go to put them up.

"Don't do that"

You practically jump out of your skin and whip around to see Kakashi sitting at your kitchen island.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well I was petting your cat" he holds up Henry who's snuggled in his arms.

"Traitor" You mutter.
"I mean what are you doing here, in my house, during the day"

"I'm your guardian now aren't I? I have to watch you"

"And that... means you have to live in my house?"

"Well I don't have to but it's certainly convenient. You'll hardly notice I'm here"

"Okay, sure"

You turn your back on him and get the egg carton from the fridge along with the milk and some bagels.

"I'm assuming since you don't drink you don't eat either"

"I don't have to, no"

"Do you want to?"

"If you're asking if I'd like some of the pathetic eggs your making the answer is no"

You feel your face flush
"I'm just trying to be nice. There's no need to insult me like that"

He sighs
"If this is going to work you're going to have to learn that I don't care for your silly human things"

You leave him in the kitchen and go to your room. You change out of the running clothes you'd been wearing and into jeans and a sweater, tying your hair back.

"You don't sleep, don't drink, and don't eat" you say coming back to the stove

"I never said I don't sleep"

"Well do you?"

"No"

"Ugh" you sigh, frustrated. Why was he treating you like a child.

You decide to just ignore him. There's a knock at the door.
"(Y/n)!" You recognize Kiba's voice.

"Coming!" You start for the door then stare back at Kakashi

"Are you going to move?" You ask, your hand on your hip.

"Why"

"Kiba isn't going to be glad to see you here"

"How does that affect me"

"Ughhhhhh just go in the living room please"

He sets Henry down on the floor and disappears from view.
You open the door.

"Hey Kiba"

"How are you feeling?"

"Better"

"That's good" he tries to come in but you don't make way.

"Uh-"

"Sorry it's a bit of a mess right now"
You try to fake smile.

"You've seen my place you know I don't care about that" Kiba laughs
